Both of my son's went to this school. It was the worst experience dealing with this school. One of my son's was bullied on bus. School wouldn't do anything to assist. I had to go to the parents of the BULLY. My younger son had an IEP I had several meetings with teachers and counselors. They told me straight up they couldn't teach because of all the discipline problems they had. The governor is a joke in my opinion. Thank you Dr Richey for exposing the ignorance of this teacher.

They can't do anything because of fear of retaliation from the parents and these parents are soft! Kids shouldn't have the power to act out freely without consequences so you know the parents are teaching their little stormtroopers how to be racist! In my youth, the kids feared the parents! You knew when dad gave you that look, he didn't need to tell you he was going to tear your ass up , thatstare told you what was up! We weren't allowed to act up in school let alone be racist! These rotten kids never had that ass beat by their parents! That's why they're cutting up and disrespecting black kids! These are future police officers, Karenites and Capital insurrectionists, they will be the next to storm the Capital and do worse than the last one! Why, two reasons entitlement and privilige!

This is beyond rasism. This is mental abuse. I would tell everyone to now say what they feel about this teacher to their face. This will stay with this child forever. You can't unsay it. Since the teacher says words don't hurt them. Give that teacher a lot of words. And don't stop.

I even had a teacher grab me by the arm and jerk me so hard outta my chair and pushed me to the hallway because I didn't move fast enough. Then stood over me with a look that I will never forget. I didn't even tell because I knew no one would believe me. As a child growing up in Texas we knew to stay away from the white folks that were extremist and outright racist. What parts of town not to go in. We had rules drilled into us about how to navigate around and out the white folks way. But in school it was right in my face everyday. From remarks about my hair, my family, my clothes, the list goes on. I'm 43 and it's so sad that the situation is getting worse and worse. We need complete separation from them period.

@@maureenjackson2041 the perverse “logic” used by these racists to shut-down complaints against racism, to be able to reign free in their racism, is that if you complain about racism committed AGAINST you, then that means that you must espouse the belief that you and your assailant are of different races, which means that you believe different races exist, therefore if you complain that you’re being discriminated because of your race it means YOU’RE the racist. That’s their BS “logic”. They know exactly how disingenuous that “logic” is. They are simply racists trying to shut down any mention of racism so that they can continue being racist without limits or even acknowledgment of what they’re doing, and then to deny it’s racism they call you racist. It’s sinister and evil. The same thing is done by misogynists against females complaining against misogyny. If a female complains against a male’s misogyny, that means she’s making a distinction between how males treat her compared to females, therefore she’s distinguishing between males and females, so her accusation against a misogynist man is then itself proof of her guilt of gender-based discrimination against males.

I'm the only black staff in a predominantly white school short term. I always wonder why the parents of the black kids send them to a school where there's no representation in staff. About 40% of the staff are racist, many students are racist. It is not "good preparation," it's low-key mental abuse. Malcolm X said only a fool would trust the oppressor to educate his children.

This is why what happened to this child is so aggregious. If it weren't for them I would have no students - our society would not function. We would not be having this conversation. They taught you to read, write and calculate. It is not an "easy" job. They provided you with experiences that opened your little world - and this is how you show respect - by "belitting" them?
