Racist Commercials That Actually Aired on Live TV

An engaging commercial can help attract an audience and encourage them to continue interacting with the ad. So they can possibly buy the product that's being advertised. In order to do so companies typically wants you to relate to the ad or hop on an agenda so they can appeal to a wider audience. However some commercials have backfired by accidentally promoting racism. Some are intentional while some could be accidental but ill let you decide. In todays video we talk about Racist commercials.

Bruh I thought that the racist part of the Mcdonald's commercial was that they were black and ordering chicken I did NOT expect that N-word bomb barely a second in😭 Edit: I was not intending anything malicious when I mentioned the chicken, I was not saying it was exclusive only to black people or not allowed, I was guessing because of the harmful stereotypes which should not be accepted as a stereotype now, as its aged horribly. I think everyone regardless of identity can eat chicken and I refuse to say otherwise. Also, I'm guessing the little part at the beginning with what sounded like the n word was a mishearing and completely unintentional.

I'm a Mexican American and of course the Frito Bandito and Speedy Gonzalez were racist but they were also somewhat funny. Just because kids don't fully understand something doesn't excuse its inclusion in kids media. Everything kids are exposed to also influences how they percieve the world, kids learn through exposure. I'm not saying that Speedy Gonzalez is the devil, but that these types of things need to be handled with a certain amount of care and that far worse things than the example you gave have been included in cartoons.

12:21 Speedy Gonzalez was also voiced by Mel Blanc. He was really good at doing a Mexican accent for comedic effect. He did a character named Sy, who played in a Mariachi band and gave one syllable answers, followed by “Si.” For instance, what your sister’s name? “Sue” What does she do? “Sew” Sew? “Si.” He was a legend.

racism in Asian countries is PRETTY common, for some reason they really do not like foreigners, this usually ranges from historical trauma. i mainly know that about Japan, most people are taught that it was fine. Which is still horrible

Tyler's commercial wasn't an attack, it was a Statement. So many statements in such a short moment. I'm shocked people didn't catch it. 1: Even when the culprit is a LITERAL goat, the line up is filled with Black men as the only other potential options. 2: The officer implying that 'any one will do'. See it?

I gotta stand with Patrice O’Neal in terms of racism. I don’t remember his exact quote but it was something like “if racism ends then I won’t be able to make jokes”. And he’s 100% right. Some jokes are just jokes, even if they’re based on stereotypes. Racism is actual horrific violence, not just a fun giggle. Everyone needs to lighten up.

9:50 if you guys r confused abt the racist laundry ad, so basically a brown man got shoved inside a washing machine by a peach lady (i don’t say black or white) and then the brown man that was shoved inside the washing machine became peach once he came out and i realized that they r saying that the brown man was dirty so he became peach once he came out the washing machine. (which represents as clean)

As a native American I can say that I am perplexed by the fact that Pillsbury came up with Injuin Orange. And yes for those who don't know it's a proper slur for American Indians in the United States of America. Some people still use it today as an insult but it doesn't phase us due to some of us having mixed ethnicity. Some American Indian- European descent and some having African American Indian descent. But for those who are pure native American Indian. They aren't really phased by it either. So just a heads up to those who think it will offend us in Oklahoma or any state with a population of indigenous people in that area. It won't offend. It will annoy but not offend.

OMFG I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THE LAUNDRY AD! I don’t even think most people were even offended by the commercial when it came out. As a black man I thought that commercial was HILARIOUS! Now I don’t think it would pass only because people have this sickening need to be a victim for attention. Like…. We really gonna sit here like we didn’t get a movie called “White Chicks” played by two black men? (Such a classic) But let two white men make a movie called “Two Black Gurlz” and there will be a blood bath. I miss the days where we could laugh at our differences.
