Had a cheater other day threatening to do crap to my wife, etc. They always run the same crap, pinging out of their minds where they no clip through you, you can’t fire, and when you do have them dead they teleport. Awesome watching you own them

@@FinnDaFish they definitely do need anti cheat, and I am hoping rare has something up there sleeve for October. People have said “oh check insiders!” Well rare wouldn’t give an opportunity for an anti cheat to be compromised prior to release by putting it in a open beta test. It is needed as some are just ridiculous. We worked hard for our curses, and dealt with cheaters along the way. It seems more are just hopping along recently as they can’t achieve an hourglass curse on their own.

@@FinnDaFish That's not a cheat, that's just how the internet works. They just flood the server with information and it can't keep up so it just dies. Sadly, besides employing things like AWS or cloudflare, easy anti cheat ain't solving that issue. I don't wanna sound like an asshole but inform yourself before saying untrue things like that, because it perpetuates misinformation and then other players who don't know how cheats work spew the same bullshit over and over until it becomes "true" to the common person.

it baffles me how players see the need to cheat in a game all about COSMETICS! literally nothing you get in this game has any effect on a damage or accuracy boost potential.

I use colourblind green-red brightness at 60 Contrast at 40

me guess the second cheater who teleported keg was taking the keg from the nearest sea fort since when you spawn there was the sea fort not far from where you were so my bet he was teleporting from his sloop to the sea fort grab the keg and teleport back to your sloop each time.

They are literally this dumb and bad. When I played R6S ranked I one tapped a guy using aimbot + ESP and he accused me of counter-hacking him. I then sent the link to my recording with my report. These cheaters think that as long as only 1 of them is cheating it's ok, but if you know you are playing with a cheater then you are too. This guy probably never learned how to play the game by the looks of things. I'd rather have a good fight and GGs, than knowing that I got outplayed by software. Another problem with these kinds of games is scripted content. (I don't wanna name and streamers) Makes them look like they're much better than they are, sadly some of their audience don't know any better.

what did you mean by you can tell potential cheaters from the arc of their cannon shots?

You can tell if people have cannon aimbot if the cannon follows the exact same trajectory every time (same hight and distance.) Normal players will have to deal with waves that will make the cannons shoot higher, lower, or to the side. Cannon aimbot perfectly adjusts for waves and inhumanly shoots the exact same shot on the exact same height every time. A little hard for me to explain here but hope this helped ❤️

This is why I stopped doing hour glass. Too many cheaters on pc

My theory is that this is a thing where cheaters advertise cheats for free wins somewhere, then charge money for carrying

I am glad there are PVE servers now. I love the game, but I get so tired of being sunk when I am just peacefully fishing off the front of my ship.

@@makaiosr I beat some hardcore cheaters last night man we was in hour glass on a 3 man brig and man they where locked onto us they was aim bitting cannon line from max distance locked onto mast and they locked on to the helm the destroyed everything in seconds then they started teleporting onto our boat I thought we was done but we killed them everytime they teleported to the ship so when we killed them when they all tried to board we was able to get mobile and bilge as we went they got back on cannons did the same thing twice. But the second time we ended up getting control of there cannon line we got fully reped and we beat them. And I had them recorded bc after the first teleport, I started recording the match so I'd have everything. at the end when they sunk one of them accused us of cheating then I let them all know I had the whole match recorded of them teleporting on to our top deck. When they seen that message go up I started getting actual messages on Xbox game bar saying sorry my teammates a sore loser when really they was just kissing ass. Sorry didn't mean for this to be this long

Things have gotten better. They've patched TP so impossible to beat keg droppers are gone. They're making small improvements here and there and an anti cheat is on the way! Hope you stick around ❤️
