This is an elected official doing a public media appearence on an independent media outlet. She is a bartender. She did a "double major" in international relations and economics. She doesn't have a bachelors. Go read 500 page long academic texts on the societal impacts of snail farts if you want true intellectualism. Watch this interview if you want to see a media trained public official communicate their opinions with their electorate.

@@sparrownotasail What's "clear" in the "way she speaks" is that she's extremely media trained because she's been smeared by the media for every minor mistake, including getting a haircut and also having fun with her friends in college. This is what happens when someone is even the slightest bit unpolished in their public appearances and immediately get reprimanded by reactionary media and constant barrages of death threats for daring to suggest that we in fact need a "green new deal" i.e. invest in environmentally friendly technology. You're insane.

** THIS ** from AOC is something I've despaired about since my youth many decades ago: "When we talk about equivocating between two things that comparable is dishonest. It runs contrary to what the spirit of Journalism to get to the truth of the matter. Sometimes that means one person is more right than the other. It doesn't make you biased, it means that we checked everyone's claims and one person maybe was not as honest or not as [factually] grounded as the other. There's no two sides to Holocaust denial or climate change denial or election denial and that absurdism is what [MSM has] paved the way."

The way that first questioner framed the "they're all the same" issue finally solidified it for me. I've never heard it described as being about economic, gender, sex, racial and cultural perspective. If I ever encounter that point again, my counter will be to point out their relative priveledge.
