The TT-02B has its shortcomings, but it’s cheap to buy and a great basis for modifying. I’m really enjoying mine! 👍This year’s TT-02B race series has begun at Carnosa RC park. I did pretty well in the first race and I’m looking forward to the next one. More TT-02B content is on its way! 😁

@@KaiCityRC I would be super interested on your take for the 02BR kit. This video was a huge push for me to get another 02B. Then I decided to go all out for the 02BR. Again, I love the 02B content. :D

@@kuyamik3y The TT-02BR kit is ok option if you want to quickly upgrade a TT-02B with minimum hassle. That said, at least over here, you can buy a base TT-02B and add in all the options supplies with the 02BR and still save a little. The 02BR kit is also missing what I would consider as essential steering upgrades. Regardless though, it is nice that Tamiya offer options like these. 👍

Thanks Andy! I think Carnosa RC Park really have got the right idea when it comes to setting up a race series. It's all about fun, enjoyment and sharing the hobby with like minded people. And the buggies they choose for the races ensure the barrier to entry is as low as possible. It was also nice to see more and more children getting into racing too. It's all good 👍

Thanks! Yes, the TT-02B handles really well considering it's price point, even in completely stock form. It's a shame more circuits don't consider running similar races. I'm sure they'd prove popular with people on a budget and just wanting to race for fun!

Were you able to use any esc? I ask because I just bought the new TY-02BR that comes with a lot of factory upgrades but no esc, motor or tires. Was you having to use the “silver can” motor or was you able to use a torque tuned can? What esc were you using? Thanks

The BR kit includes a lot of nice upgrades.👍 For the races we must use the kit supplied 540 silver can. In the case of the BR, you'd have to buy one separately. No other motor is permitted. Battery is 2S Lipo or Nihm packs. As for the other electronics we're free to use whatever we wish. I run the KO Propo VFS-FR2 Pro ESC.
