I never thought of Snow White as a love story. It's more a story that vanity will cause a person to do horrible things to just to be the prettiest person ever. Snow White does find love in the end, but that wasn't the focus of the original move. What made her beautiful was her kind personality.

I have a long history with the original film. In the 1970s, it was the first film I saw in the theater as a child, and when it was in it's final theatrical release in the 90s I took my daughter who loved it. Although I thought Rachel Zegler was her own undoing, I think the whole "go woke or go broke" backlash is silly. I really appreciate your assessment as even and astute. It is a fairy tale after all, and as a teacher in child development we often study the purpose of fairy tales as teaching tools. Having said that, it also makes sense to update the story to some degree. That's what Disney did in 1937, they updated it. In 1812, the Grimm's she visits her mother's grave, Disney updated that and removed that scene as that would be distasteful to young audiences in the 1950s. So, I think some aspects of the 1938 Snow White could be updated for today's audiences, but honestly, I am not invested. I would consider taking my daughter's children, but she'll probably beat me to the punch!

I would pay to see Brett on the big screen as Snow White and I haven't gone to a theater in over 10 tears.

There's a reason why classic cars, memorabilia, baseball cards, and antiques sell; they remind us of a time long past and with that our younger selves. To modernize these is to take away those emotions, traditions, and vision of times gone by.

She comes off as a person who has no need of men.

The only thing remarkable about Ziegler is how fast she destroyed her “career.” Pretty girls are a dime a dozen. Personality shines through and either makes you more attractive or repulsive.

Brett Cooper is also a good actrice? I watched some of her videos, i like her thinking and her look is very fit for the role.

I’m on the daily wire’s side for Snow White the woke version that Disney’s making can just get cancelled for all I care it’s not about Snow White becoming a leader, all that matters is that Snow White stays TRUE to the original source material then changing it to something it’s not Brett Cooper’s version is better and Disney should start moving away from making woke movies and start making the original movies we all knew as kids growing up.

Disney can maybe rewrite their version as some kind of a parody/sarcastic comedy? Why did Disney called the remake "Snow White" instead of the more appropriate "Shitty Brown" name

Zegler's Snow White sounds like it's going to be a DISNEY "Marvel Superhero' version, but, like The Marvels" it will have lots of singing and dancing amidst an incoherent, Re-Shot To Death, Bloated Budget Movie. Which will probably lose money for DISNEY. Just like The MARVELS was, and did. The Daily Wire version of Snow White, with Brett Cooper, on the other hand, will be, like th unexpected hit from Japan Godzilla Minus One, a production of significantly LOWER budget, tighter story telling and quality control, LESS frenetic, and more focused on the values taught by the original classic tale. Perhaps it will even decide to offer up the original story's more mature vibe in the same way that many beloved rom-com anime manage to do so well, while maintaining audience popularity and appeal, young and old alike. LAPUTA, Castle In The Sky comes to mind. In the end, the media is making this a Battle between two visions, and two very different female actresses. The Zany, Big Mouthed, Arrogant Boss Girl of DISNEY versus the - in my opinion - more conservative, more DIGNIFIED, and more mature Classic Courageous Princess which the Daily Wire will probably decide to go with. For me, personally, the SECOND option for Snow White is more appealing, while still being truly classical. Once beloved Walt Disney Land, has now deteriorated into current day WOKE DISNEY Land, and we can clearly see this deterioration in it's new version of Snow White.

She looks great for the role of snow white, that is Brett Cooper. It's funny how everyone is with their hands up in the air about getting a darker skin actress play the role, but is 100% understandable. When I watched those old western movies where native americans where actually white actors I was like...what? don't tell me that back then there were not enough actors who would look like native americans because latinos have always been there....soooo...wow....now you'll know how it feels.

Seriously, I know Rachel gave interviews trashing the old Snow White but phrasing it as "Rachel deciding to move away from the love story" or "just how much Rachel's version changed what everyone knew and loved" is wrong and places the blame in the wrong place. This is DISNEY'S movie and Rachel didn't write the updated story or make the decisions. She may like it or want it to be a woke, feminist masterpiece but SHE didn't make any of that happen.

Iv only ever looked at Snow White as a tale of good vs evil. That just so happens to have a love story attached. Don’t get me wrong. Both remakes will probably be mediocre but at least the none Disney movie will respect the source material.

Snow White wasn’t a love story, the princess was only in it for about 3mins if that and her certainly never stalked her. DEI is supposed to be about diversity and inclusion why exclude the biggest minority (little people) it doesn’t make sense. If Disney wanted diversity in Snow White they should have made the Queen black. SW is an iconic figure everyone knows she was supposed to be white as snow. It’s in the books and the original film so changing a characters race like that doesn’t make sense. Fans of a film are fans because they like the story line, so again Disney changing it doesn’t make sense.

I'm Latina, born and raised in LATAM. Rachel doesn't even speak Spanish (she spoke phonetics in west side story). I never understood why people in the USA think being Latin has anything to do with ethnic or a look. Many of us are European descendants and white af 😅) PS I'm not disagreeing with you, just adding to the point because Rachel got that part because she looks the way many Americans think Latinas look and Disney was trying to fill the ethnic quote, even when she is not Latina. I do believe she did great in West side story and has a beautiful singing voice, tho.

Disney isn't replacing Zeggler. The Daily Wire is making their own Snow White movie with Brett Cooper to compete with Disney's version. We shall see which one becomes more successful in time, but I know which one I want to watch.
