    Rachel Zegler and Halle Bailey have both been Disney Princesses in Snow White and The Little Mermaid. But as they engage in a Variety Actors on Actors interview we get 40 minutes of discussion on everything from how important it is to the world they get paid. To their opinions on the fans who spoke out about their movies and comments previously. While there has been some changing comments with regards to the Snow White story, we still fully double down on what we said before. Alongside making sure everyone knows we need to be in more jobs. For some reason its VERY important they get in roles to replace the actual characters. But a really bad thing if we keep characters representing the same people that they always have. The issue is we know what was said before. We know it contradicts what is being said now, and as this is such a common tactic for actors to engage in, it's incredibly transparent. Of course that wont stop us virtue signalling to each other all interview! But what did you think of what you saw, let me know your thoughts down below and as always, thanks for watching :)

    I’ve been black for 56 years now and I’m pretty sure I saw black people on tv and in movies before now. I don’t ever remember thinking to myself, “I can see me” whenever a black person was doing anything on tv or film. I do remember having my mom safety pin a towel around my neck so I could pretend to be Batman when I was little kid. Hmm…a little black kid identifying with Batman. I wonder what that was about? You know, cause Batman isn’t black.

It was so hard to identify with heroes whose character and traits I admired because they had a different skin color. News flash. Almost all of them are woke and problematic. I've work in film as an actor and stuntman and have seen all this garbage play out first hand on every production, even the "non woke" films like John Wick. The stuntwomen and actresses hired to do action roles are some of the most woke people imaginable and are full on feminist despite being attractive. They've been whining about "diversity in stunts" even though there are equal amounts of women in the field and women aren't even held to any standard and can be scrawny and untrained while men have to meet a far higher bar to even be considered.

    @@kungfuskullTechnically the original - or at least one of the earliest recorded - versions of that statement or rhetoric is from the Bible. Luke 6:31 “Do unto others as you would you would have them do unto you.” But I understand your point. The Bible is a collection of moral values, but all of those same moral values have also been taught in other cultures by other means (other stories). Even non-religious people can find inspiration and influence for being altruistic from things like Tolkien or other beautiful elements of life, most likely from the cultures in which they uniquely grew up. This perspective is coming from myself who was raised Catholic. This is what brings us together, because our shared affinity for good and our shared understanding of hardship - regardless of one’s different upbringing - is what allows us to relate to each other on a human level.

    I don't like new Disney. What makes new Disney even worse is that it was unnecessary. Disney was already being progressive before it was even cool to do so. For example, Mulan (the animated one) came out in 1998. It was about a woman that went into the military during a time when it was illegal for women to do so. She was able to convince the soldiers that she was a man and then became one of the most skilled soldiers. She then went on to be the primary reason the country was saved. That movie came out 25 years ago. However, it was so good that you hardly hear anyone complain about it being woke. The creators focused more on great characters and a good movie. That is the most important thing. Whatever message they want to relay comes second.

    The difference is that Fa Mulan earned her respect, by beating Shang's arrow challenge, by completing the training alongside the others, by taking out the Hun army, etc. The new Disney just gives it to the 'diverse' characters because they are awesome because they are diverse. People don't mind it when someone earns things: position, power, respect. They don't care if the person get those same things with no struggle or appreciation.

  • @MoonPhantom

    @MoonPhantom

    Also... That movie was actually REALLY smart in showing us through visuals that no... No Mulan is not the physically strongest person in her unit. Not even close to being the strongest. That is NOT what makes her the deciding factor. What makes her so unique is her ability for unique thinking, and putting this unique thinking into immediate and practical action. We see it the first time when she feeds the chickens by tying rice to her dog. Then later she master the pole, NOT by being stronger than the men, but by showcasing this same sort of creative thinking put to action. Her winning move against the Huns again, creative thinking firing a rocket at the mountain creating an avalanche. And even her final finish move against the villain, she uses her Fan to capture his sword and take it herself. She's never physically stronger, but she has this incredible creative thinking going for her, and again the ability to put that thinking into immediate action. And we are never told this, we are SHOWN this. This shows women that no, you don't have to be AS strong as men to succeed. But you can find alternative ways to stand out and get on top. Which is far healthier to teach women. And then we have the life action movie, and what does Mulan have in that one.... Magic... That's it... She has innate magic and that's just it. she's better and stronger cause she has magic. She didn't have to overcome, fight, or think in alternative ways. NOTHING. She just needs to be better and stronger than the men from the beginning cause magic... I hate modern Hollywood and modern Hollywood female characters..... this entire idea that what makes a female character great is her being automatically STRONGER than the man is so stupid. No! You have a great opportunity to acknowledge she is not as strong as the men, so she need alternative ways to overcome this aspect, and that's so much more inspiring to me anyway. I mean hell that's part of the reason why Usopp is my favorite one Piece character! Because he's weak, but he use creative thinking to overcome that weakness in combat which in turn makes him invaluable to his crew because only HE can think that way.

    My mother's family is from Puerto Rico and my father's family is from Germany and Poland. Shockingly, Rachel does not represent me or my beliefs. I acted along with Bambi for goodness sake and I assure you, the fact that I was not a deer did not cut into my enjoyment. I don't know what, "community" she talking about, because everyone I know of any ethnicity cringes when she talks and cannot stand her. People from the Latina side of my family don't want her to represent us. We are not arrogant and whiners who constantly complain. It is even worse: They did not focus on the love story in Snow White. Quite the opposite. 95% of the movie is about her interactions with the Dwarves. The prince shows up briefly at the beginning,and at the end. He literally acts as an ingredient needed to break the spell.

    The fact kids as young as 5… literally kids born all the way back to 2018.. saying “she looks like me” tells me so much that they already knew, were introduced Ariel as the established white girl with red hair from the parks and Disney plus. They knew their parents having their phones recording for a reaction was the moment they picked up that Ariel was different and supposed to be “exciting” because she shares their skin color. And it’s sad.. in 2023 this is called being progressive? To change a race of a character of 34 years? Was there no room for another mermaid princess with her own identity? Her own story? Why do we have a lot of renaissance princesses and leader feminist princesses in Disney but no more than just the one mermaid? These girls are the epitome of narcissism and self insert in roles that they’re not fit for.

  • @thormalakowsky
    @thormalakowsky6 ай бұрын

    Considering caring about skin color is a learned behavior, if those kids, uncoached, actually remarked on the characters skin color, I feel sorry for them. I watched Snow White when I was young. I don't remember the prince doing anything that could be considered stalking.

    Thank you for mentioning her Polish roots, which she clearly hates, without mentioning them at all and focusing only on the culture from her mother's side. Why isn't it surprising to me that her father figure is of little importance to her and she is completely uninterested in what the citizens of my country have to say about her? I wonder if her parents made a "mistake" in raising her or if she was radicalized outside the home.

  • @markkelly9621

    So, basically what they seem to be saying is that all the new Disney characters are exclusionary as they are only expected to exclusively reflect one demographic of the population. Next time Disney makes the Little Mermaid, they will have to change the race, bodytype, sexuality, disability etc every single scene to make it inclusive.

As soon as Terry Crews complained he never got work again either. I used to be confused and wonder why some people get work and some don't. It really is simple once you realize the world is not like these people portray on screen. It's almost like they want young naive people to prey on so they put out content to lie to them. It's like a cycle. Now look at Caville getting yeeted and Ezra Miller staying. My theory checks out most of the time.
