You’re my new favourite channel

Always make sure these paw traps are securely anchored to something - the stake on the bottom isn't even close to enough, and I once had a raccoon get away by unscrewing the corkscrew anchor I used... So I always attach it to a tree or other object that's not moving. As for bait, raccoons, LOVE marshmallows, so when I bait these paw traps, I use small marshmallows. I once had a raccoon so greedy it got caught with BOTH front paws in the trap. The only unintended species I've trapped with one of those dogproof traps and marshmallows was a possum (well, two, actually), but they're pretty rare compared to catching the desired species (raccoons).

Imagine trapping a raccoon with protein peanut butter and you come back the next day to see a raccoon with a six pack deadlifting a deer.

Great video. I started using a 220 bodygrip to dispatch my coons.I just drop the set 220 over the coon's head. I sell the skulls at the fur auctions and have been averaging 5 bucks a piece . One more way to make a little more money on the trapline.

I have great success with a hav-a-heart and dog food. I anchor the trap down with the bait under the tray end.
