Can you explain yields farming and how to make your own Curve?

Don't forget backup of mobile apps/data does not contain seed/credentials for most apps. So physically backing up the seed is important.

Atomic Wallet

Hi dear. I use a ext4 in pendrive with electrum installed offline and i mount it in /home/electrum that is the user. It could be encrypted for more security. Cheers!

The box you mount said pendrive to run electrum is then a weak point. Somewhat better is if you boot from a read-only DVD instead of your normal operating system.

disable the predictive text, which cannot be done on a lenovo chromebook duet by the way ... said that some wallet extensions for chromebook are kick-ass ... but don't use a duet lenovo had a history of selling customers data through spyware-like

The leak only involves some personal info such as emails and order details. It has absolutely no risk to the security of the Ledger wallets and funds stored on them. Be cautious of any emails appearing to be from Ledger that ask for your seed phrase.

Coincidentally, ledger just has a data breach hours before this video came out. It didnt compromise passwords, wallet amounts, or addresses but it did compromise addresses, emails, and names...

@@Alistair yeah I would say it is worse because you cant do anything digitally without a pin or a seed phrase even if you have the desktop software password but you can do a lot with an address and a name (if you move you can associate the person with a new address based on public records and previous addresses)

For phone security it is best to use a password, using fingerprint is less secure since on most phones it is an or condition with the pin or password, if it was an and condition then it would be more secure. Using a pin is not secure.

Biometrics on smartphones are generally only enabled after boot once the passphrase is used, so rebooting your device is generally a good enough security measure if you find yourself in a situation where you may be compelled to apply your fingerprint or someone may apply a forged version of it. You should still use full-disk encryption on your device to mitigate attacks, and encrypt your private keys with a different passphrase, which you must input to sign any transaction.

I use Ledger Nano X for my primary portfolio, but I used Exodus for 3 yrs before getting my Ledger, and I liked and trusted Exodus. Don't care for Atomic Wallet, it lost over 6000 THETA tokens by having supported THETA, and right as I loaded my tokens on Atomic, they discontinued supporting THETA. I was unable to retrieve my tokens. I do keep my tokens for 1 crypto on it.

Good information, but... SIM card swapping is real. A hacker can easily get a new SIM card and have complete access to everything on your phone leaving you locked out.

I hope tot can boycott ledger. They just added ads in their wallet. Besides been another attack vector it’s just crazy that my “banks” shows me ads.

It's rather simple. If you have a meaningfull amount in crypto buy a hardware wallet. Cheapest is Ledger Nano S and costs arround $60. If you have like a $100 in crypto just keep it wherever you want because it doesn't matter anyway.

@@username3387 then you buy Ledger once it 10x and you have 1000 instead of 100 you started with. Or if i started with 100 i would rather put additional 60 into more crypto then buy a ledger. Now i have 160 instead of 100. If it starts mooning i buy ledger later with profits. If it doesn't i didn't need ledger in the first place. Simple.

Are you still narrow minded on POS and/or ETH/BTC maximalist? I stopped watching you back to early 2018 (when you started promoting eth) and just watched this as accidentally appeared on my list and was curious of your recommendation. You should further educate yourself for the future and sorry I really DO NOT want to be rude and all my highest respect to you what you have done to BTC, but everybody needs evolve like the nature does. You, can starts with the 80 peer reviewed research papers from IOHK (lot of BTC related good stufffs there too) to evaluate their proofs of their POS which has equivalent security properties as Bitcoin. And do not tell me it harsh as it took more than a year to digest and be convinced by those proofs. I was also thinking no one can outsmart more than 50 full time scientist (professors, PhDs they have) and of course the formal methods they use and the 200 employee they have too. Open your mind to the possibilities that might be they can be right, but do not believe anybody but start read their papers. It will be funny, I assure you. You know, I thought my one-in-a-life time excitement was the day when I read Satoshi’s paper. But, boy that was nothing compared to what I have read in the IOHK’s research papers. So, pls be open and of course open skeptic, and do not let your experience in Bitcoin blind you to see the things. I wish the best and again all my respect what you have done to the Bitcoin community, but it is the time to move on and think on some broader vision to help the future.

If you're too poor for a HW then just leave it on the exchange imo

@@haichen not sure i understood your question, but your wallet is basically like an ID for the blockchain which will recognize your balance. As long as you have your keys, only way for someone to grant access is to somehow hack your app/device, yes. And turns out smartphones tend to be more secure than pcs in that aspect.
