What is the origin of puzzles miners are trying to solve ? What are the results of solved puzzles - who uses that information and what is its purpose ? Are they solving scientific research problems for example ?

I’m sorry, but I don’t get the argument that bitcoin will magically liberate those in poor/oppressive governments. These people need computers/smartphones, an internet connection, and electricity in order to trade. These things are controlled by governments and therefore they can control access to crypto

If any of this occurs on a device that is linked to "someone" all the info involved is being mined and stored from their end. We can track it right, so that tracking data can be mined stored and viewed by all the companies that are already doing it with everything we've done on devices since they became personal.

I love the last metaphor @aantonop uses to warn against a non-expert trying to use 2/3 multisig where all three seeds are his own and without expert supervision: "Don't go for the big boss until you've leveled up." Anton and Michael Saylor both bring a certain value to me that is quite rare: A strong ability to use metaphors to clearly express concepts that are new to me. Sometimes their concepts are so good that they help me better commit to, remember or start practicing a concept that I may have already understood or agreed with on some level for months, but hadn't yet transformed into action.

Title: The Evolution of Writing and the Birth of a Decentralized Ledger Abstract: This paper explores the historical context of writing, tracing its origins back to Mesopotamia where the first writings were recorded on ledgers. It discusses how civilizations that did not require a ledger, such as the Aboriginals in Australia, did not develop writing systems. The paper then transitions to the modern era, where technical writing has evolved into programming languages, leading to the creation of decentralized ledgers. It argues that the evolution of writing has driven us towards an upgraded internet-native decentralized ledger, describing this progression as helical - cyclical and upward at the same time. The paper concludes by proposing Bitcoin as the money of the internet, enabled by the convergence of new technologies like robotics, AI, 3D printing, biology, genetics, and neurotechnology. It suggests that in an economy of abundance facilitated by these technologies, Bitcoin can serve solely as an upgraded ledger rather than as a medium of exchange, store of value, or capital. Introduction: The history of writing can be traced back to ancient civilizations, with Mesopotamia standing out as one of the earliest known examples of a written language. The emergence of writing was closely tied to the need for record-keeping and communication, leading to the development of various writing systems over time. However, not all civilizations felt the need for writing, as seen in the case of Aboriginal societies in Australia who thrived without the use of written language due to their abundance of physical resources. Evolution of Writing: As civilizations progressed and technology advanced, writing evolved from simple inscriptions on clay tablets to complex programming languages used in modern times. The transition from traditional ledgers to decentralized digital ledgers marks a significant milestone in the evolution of writing. This shift towards internet-native decentralized ledgers reflects a helical movement - a cyclical and upward progression from simple to complex and synthetic forms of communication. Bitcoin as the Money of the Internet: In today's digital age, Bitcoin has emerged as a potential candidate for becoming the money of the internet. Enabled by the convergence of cutting-edge technologies like robotics, AI, 3D printing, biology, genetics, and neurotechnology, Bitcoin offers the possibility of creating an automatic economy with abundance of resources. In this context, Bitcoin can function solely as a ledger, facilitating transactions between individuals and supporting an upgraded version of the economy. Conclusion: The evolution of writing has played a crucial role in shaping human communication and record-keeping practices. From its humble beginnings in Mesopotamia to the modern era of decentralized ledgers and programming languages, writing has undergone a transformative journey. Bitcoin represents a new chapter in this evolution, offering a decentralized ledger for the digital age that can potentially redefine the concept of money and economic exchange. As we continue to witness the convergence of new technologies, the role of Bitcoin as a ledger may become increasingly prominent in facilitating human interactions and shaping the future economy.
