I think this video came to me and was meant to. I’ve been feeling suicidal thoughts again lately, I have had spiritual experiences in the past; and you reminded me some how of how it feels, especially from the word ‘hope’. I had lost it before and was starting to again, so thank you so much for this video and the points you make. I was raised seventh day Adventist but always been highly intrigued and kind of longing to know more about Jewish faith, I will subscribe because you sound very, very intelligent. ❤ Again, thank you 🙏🏼 edit to add: also going to watch full interview

I'm not fluent in Hebrew (by a long shot) but I know it to have a much smaller vocabulary than English, so many words have multiple meanings, & translators pick the meaning they are most comfortable with. And if there isn't any exact translation, the translator changes it to reflect personal beliefs. I'm not fluent but I think your translation is good. Keep in mind it's all in one word in Hebrew. That changes the nuances; doesn't it?

This is still a man's interpretation of God's law. If you want to know about the beginning do you best on earth to the end then ask God himself when you return to it.......... Thank you for your perception man must come to his own truth. ❤

  • @rabelad

And your response here is another in a series of man's interpretations of Judaism's interpretations of God's law. You have just added one more layer of human interpretation to the Bible text which you imply is, by nature, faulty. Yours is a very Christian response which assumes that man is irretrievably flawed and so even departing from the literal reading of the Bible is certainly inadequate.I know this attitude of mind as I was born and raised a Christian, dropped it and converted to Judaism. I lived as those who disparaged ideas that depart from the "literal word of God". Which leads me to wonder why you even bothered to listen to this lecture and waste your time at it. Might it have been to teach the "benighted" Jews "The Truth" by your comment?

@@richarddupree2924 no the rabbi is a kohen who traces his lineage back to our patriarchs. He's not just some guy. There are scrolls, not books, since they weren't used in Torah times, that had the Torah, from G-d to Moses. You don't want to "believe", don't, though saying noone knows is not true.
