Raag Yeman Tutorial by Aradhana Karhade (WITH NOTATION)
In this video of Aradhana ji’s tutorials, she ventures a little further with Raga Yaman. Here are a few things you should know:
Thaat: Yeman Thaat
Jaati: Sampoorna Jaati
Vaadi Swar: Gandhaar (Ga)
Samvaadi Swar: Nishaad (Ni)
Bandish/Composition: Piya Ki Najariya Jaadu Bhari…
Taal: Teentaal. 16 beat cycle, which goes as follows:
Dha Dhin Dhin Dha | Dha Dhin Dhin Dha | Dha Thin Thin Ta | Ta Dhin Dhin Dha | Dha

Sthaayi: A Bandish (composition) is divided into two parts - Sthaayi is the first of those two parts.
Note: This bandish or composition is based on a 16 cycle beat, i.e. Taal Teentaal. Some also refer to this Taal as an 8 beat cycle - both of them are correct.

Please guide whether in Pakad: ni Re Ga re (Komal) ni Re Sa, use of re (Komal) is correct? My question is based on the understanding that all notes used in raga Yaman are shuddha except Ma tivra (sharp).
