An exhilarating journey of six friends with a shared passion for discovering and recording musicians in their living environments. This project will be the sharing of a special experience in which we hope you will want to participate.
Some of the musicians are established and famous, others are among the brilliant budding talent that adorns Pakistan’s musical scene. Each of the mehfils has a distinct atmosphere and mood, but there is a common thread. We asked each of the musicians to stay close to their respective inherited musical traditions, allowing the singers an opportunity to present some pieces that are rarely heard today.
We are inspired to present the brilliance of this contemporary Pakistani vocal music to a wider audience and seek your financial assistance in making this possible.

It was totally a mesmerizing and blissful performance by Maulvi Sahab and Zameer Sahab. Zameer Sahab is Ustad of classical raags. what he has done in this performance is just amazing. He made it look like it is easy but in today's world, these things are very rare. Kudos to these Masters who have preserved these raags till now and kudos to the Dream Journey team who have preserved these outstanding performances through their channel for ages. I knew this footage was timeless the first time I saw it. Dream Journey managed to catch many of these Qawwals right before their time was done. Ustad Ameer Ali, Maulvi Saheb. Akhtar Sharif was featured in Fanna-Fi-Allah’s documentary. He is gone also. It’s extremely saddening, but at the same time imagine if these efforts were not made. Allah took them early for himself and we must be grateful for what we have left of them. I wish for the surviving remainders and the children of the Ustads to carry on to the best of their abilities

At 11:54, the subtitle has a typo. It is "Khair deen Shah Rabb kook suney...", not Haider Shah ... A lot of singers attribute this to Baba Bulleh Shah ji also, but this is a verse from Khair deen Shah sahib (as heard from buzurganedeen)... Thanks

Two others from this team, namely Fakhar and Saqib Hassan have also sadly passed on. They remaining two Zameer Hassan and Tallat Hassan in the lead have two separate qawwal parties now.
