Even to replicate his 5 sec piece is a lifetime work... such is his greatness 🙏🏻

I can listen to his music in any recording quality but here even the recording quality is top class. His music is beyond our appreciation.

True and this one is from Germany and the other one Bageshree is also quite an amazing recording even as per today's standards. Good recordings are important so that one can experience such a phenomenal artist in absolute sense

What was it... how can he do this... the more I listen to his music the more I get indebted to almighty for the sheer luck to hear such divine stuff.

Unbelievable playing. I have heard many Jhala, but the this Jhala at the end is something out of the world.

I stopped going to concerts of other Sitatists after his death. I rarely listen these days after hearing his inspired playing among the big names of his generation.

@@baransam1 I used to listen to him from back in the 1960s when I was a student in India. Poor Vilyat copy.

There is a magical quality in Nikhilji's renderings which is beyond words.

Pt.Jee style is fantastic..mind blowing. no worlds. Concert of India.

He had been my idol from my childhood! The melodie mingles with tremendous laykari. I dare not post my comments, only am enchanted with his soulful music. Thanks for sharing.

Pandit Nikkildas most of the records R from forign compenies,,,,,? was he so popular in West,,,? I love his concerts more than anything in this world...SWEET MELODY with a little drupad touch in alaap portion....GREAT

Where was Anindyo Chatterjee in 1971, that is, if the caption is correct.

Despite being probably the greatest sitarist of all time with an amazing level of consistency, he never got his due just because he was immersed in his music. He could never market himself, either with an arrogance of an artiste or a flair of a salesman. Then there was nasty politics.

Wonderful music from the master.

I am unable to accept as to why the name of the Tabla Player has not been mentioned? It's frustrating on the part of the up loader of the video.

Yes brother wonderful but only one emperor of sitar Vilayat the gat played is Enayetkhani and Nikhilbabu is playing in Vilayat Khans Gayaki Ang

Unfortunately the attached photo shows great Kanai Datta as tabla player but reality seems something else. Without knowing Tabla players, photographs should not used to attract listeners. If you didn't know Tabla player then only Sitar player's photo should have been given.
