উস্তাদজীর বাদনে যেন স্বয়ং মেঘমালা হতে বর্ষণ হচ্ছে, সুরের মূর্ছনায় সেই বর্ষণের দ্বারা মনপ্রাণ যেন প্লাবিত হয়ে যাচ্ছে। উস্তাদজীর প্রতি সালাম নিবেদন জানাই।

I am not sure who the tabla player is in this recording. No doubt he is very skilled, but music-wise, his performance is horrible here. He does not follow the raas of Jhinjhoti, and overplays the sitar, breaking completely the flow of the raga. More often than not, less is more. (Edit: Maaan, he even ruins some delicate tihais by accenting too loud)

Ravi Shankar and Nikhil Banerjee had the same guru namely Allauddin khan , but both trained differently . Ravi Shankar had exposure of the west so is more famous . Nikhil da was not so lucky but he is any time a better sitar player . His gayki ang ( trying to make the instrument sing ) is exemplary . Another artist who can be compared is ustad Abdul Halim Jafar Khan , but we could not hear him more often as he migrated to Pakistan
