There are quite a few independent manufacturers and their vehicles are top class built for specific purpose. I had a pleasure of visiting the BRV production line in Bloemfontein and I was impressed by the simplicity of the method to produce complex vehicles. These beat many brands in the market. One of my neighbours have been driving a BRV for 4 years now and it still performs and looks new. Another manufacturer is F&R Catai, their head office is in Roodepoort and they have another production plant in Jetpark. They also produce armoured vehicles and Road-Rail vehicles, they export to a few countries including the middle east as their vehicles are built for touch terrain.

All VW Polos are made in South Africa, and then shipped abroad. Also some Ford and other models. Novel supercar, some armoured cars, and almost all Toyotas that ran the Dakar rally.

Wow, if it is using a Cummins Engine it is indestructible, those engines are bulletproof. A great choice of powerplant. Hope their sales grow fast. I certainly would take a good look at one of these vehicles. Regards from South Africa

I completely love it, the only thing that could be better for this price is not to use old halogen light bulbs but to go with something more moden.

South Africa built local cars in the 70's and the Rambler Hornet was one, and the Nomad was the other. Also the Compadré.....

Are these vehicles exported to the UK or are they brought in as 'personal imports'? Who manufactures the engines in these vehicles? Does the company have an 'agents' in the UK? What is the 'on the road price' in South Africa, and can you convert this to the equivalent in pounds sterling? Would you think of getting someone to do a 'test drive or a review' of the vehicle? It would be interesting to hear what 'Harry' from 'Harry's garage' would think of this vehicle. Thanks for this video. Do many farmers have these vehicles?
