Does the engine turn over by hand or does it try and turn the wheel?

Hi. just a thought but the length of the con rod doesn't change the capacity of the cylinder the stroke remains the same, the stroke is defined by the throw of the crank i.e. the difference between the centres at top dead centre and bottom dead centre.👍

I must admit that I thought the stroke was defined by the rod length, I was thinking along the lines of if I have for an extreme example a rod length of 100feet then the piston, ...actually yes you are correct, its the crank isnt it, if I have a crank web that circles a diameter of 4 inch but the next crank web has a diameter of 6 inch then even if the rods are the same length the 6 inch one would travel further, is that right?

I had a Yamaha 1000 Exup and the clutch was absolutely crap, very grabby and it the end the clutch basket broke up and bent the crank, glad i got rid of it".
