TLDR of the update: the officers who responded with OP to the CPR incident showed OPs wife the crime scene photos and explained how important it is for him to get out in time. She admitted she thinks she has OCD and is going to get into therapy.

I'll be honest and say the first persons wife is a huge problem, she cannot accept fault for anything and has basically admitted that someone life is less important than her being a neat freak.

There was an update that implied that the wife was suffering from OCD (it wasn’t said directly I don’t think, but it was made clear that the wife didn’t have control over it and decided to go to therapy for her urges to clean things). The OP also got a police officer friend to come over and explain what her husband does (with pictures and examples), which seemed to get through to her. From what the post said, the wife thought that he (being a volunteer rather than a full time employee) wasn’t doing the life or death stuff, just the minor stuff, and she thought OP was exaggerating. I think she just needed a third party to explain it to her that it finally clicked, as opposed to her deliberately putting someone at risk for her need to clean.

@@isabellasansome2814 I think the only valid part there is OCD. My fiance is a midwife, I have two kids now so I see what they do first hand but before that all I really knew was it was medical and involved the birthing process. I took her word for it regarding her work and how difficult it could be and that sometimes lives are in her hands. If she ever got called away then I knew it would be for a good reason. Literally no need for me to belittle or dismiss what she does. I'm glad the wife is getting the help they need and at least no one was injured. The whole exchange between the two was quite childish but I've been in similar situations where yI get so annoyed I become petty haha

@@CptSyphilis001 I'm also a midwife! I had my own practice before getting so sick. You'd be surprised how many people think we don't do much or that it's an exaggeration. I'm not sure who they think is in charge and required to fulfill the things we do, but clearly not us lol.

@@lissaw4 midwives have my utmost respect. At the birth of my second son Ruaraidh the midwife and her student kept the doctors at bay as they knew he was coming any minute. They did everything together and my son was born naturally using only gas and air with no concerns. I was so proud of literally everyone in that room 😂. All I did was wipe my Fiance's brow and let her bite my hand in pain haha

@@Felwinter999 yeah, problems that can all be solved via other means. Which btw were. You can find this story updated on Reddit. He had one of his coworkers explain exactly why her doing that can cost someone’s life, and it got through to her and she stopped. They also went to a dr and she was diagnosed with OCD and is receiving help. Immediately jumping to divorce to solve marriage problems is ignorant and stupid as shit. No ones perfect, and with two people involved that’s twice the flaws. All marriages will have problems. Thinking every single one spells the end of the marriage is ignorant and lazy as fuck.

Basically everybody is related to royalty if you go back far enough. For one thing, there's only so many people who were around to be your ancestors then. Some of those are illegitimate though. Until the last couple of centuries, kings were allowed mistresses and illegitimate kids. "Illegitmate" meaning exactly what it says. Not legitimate heirs. They don't get the name, the accreditation, or any of the money! Some kings kept their illegitimate kids around the palace and looked after them, some didn't. There's also Great Houses that diminished over the years as the peers ran out of favour. As well as cadet branches of cadet branches, eventually spreading so wide there were no titles left to give to them. They usually have a bit of royal blood. Basically everyone does. In Britain, everyone has a number, and it represents the line to the throne. You know that, should so-many thousand (or million) people die, you'd be on the throne! When a child is born, they take it's parents' numbers, and figure out the best bloodline to give the kid it's own number. It's like a lottery except you don't have much chance to win. Obviously right now the Queen is '#1, Charles is #2, etc.

For an update on the first story: OP finally explained to her what he does on the job and invited some friends from the volunteer EMT station and they casually talked about how they saved people's lives and showed his GF pictures of a gruesome car crash from which OP saved a woman. The GF apologized and admitted she didn't really understand what OP's job was about or how important it was. She agreed not to tie his boots and to go to therapy for her OCD.

Because in some cases IF you are aware that something has been moved that was normally untidy, you would still go to clean it up Op might have to buy different shoes for the time being if its that bad. OR have a key to a room for his stuff only then his stuff doesnt get as much of a chance to be sorted by her

The marriage bed thing reminds me of the story where the future FIL was supposed to check the bride to make sure she was still "pure" before they got married and his family all acted like it was a common thing that they told her last minute. I think if anyone has any of the werid family traditions they should tell whomever they are dating straight up before the relationship gets serious unless they are willing to skip their family traditions.

The second one the father threatening OP to dump the girl is just insane “Do it or we disown her.” If you really loved your daughter you wouldn’t force her to date who you like but she may dislike. That’s just so bullshit

Love how the wife is upset she missed her run, but is okay with continuously tying an EMT's boots and it nearly cost someone's life. Hope she's getting the help she needs because her behavior is unacceptable. I don't blame him for snapping, because his job is very time sensitive and he had already tried explaining it to her.

The guy found out she had OCD. She was compulsive on having everything neat and perfect and when he undid her shoelaces, it wasn't perfect and it triggered her. I'm not saying it isn't her fault, I definitely think she could have handled the situation better and tried to understand him and feel sorry for what she did, but it isnt entirely her fault.

I’ve heard there was a similar old Hebrew tradition where a bedroom was added to the family house to accommodate the new couple. After the wedding the family and entire village were nearby to hear the consummation, and the best man actually witnessed the consummation and announce it.

@@okloopy I think you're conflating more than one culture. Hebrew tradition is the Yichud, where a bride and groom seclude themselves in a room and spend time together, not necessarily for sex. The family members guard the door to prevent the couple from being interrupted because, traditionally, this is the first time they're allowed to be alone together. There are no witnesses and that in fact would be completely against the point of the tradition.

Buy a glass safe, put the shoes on them. Now she can't touch the shoes because they are locked away and can't ask for access to something that clearly just holds a piece of your clothing.

So OP Actually Updated The Story Regarding His Boots And His Wife: "I've gotten a few requests for update but didn't want to post until I felt like I really had anything to say. A lot has happened in the past two weeks so I'm going to try to go over it as best I can. My wife and I started talking again. We had a very serious conversation and I did apologize for what I did to her running shoes, and then I told her I had to speak some truth and I wanted her to promise me that she wasn't going to roll her eyes, interrupt me, scoff, or get sarcastic with me, which she did. I told her that I was not kidding about my boots, that while most of the time I caught geriatric transports, falls, and nausea, there were instances where response time was of the essence and I didn't have time to play around with my boots in the middle of the night. I told her that there have been times when my intervention has been critical in saving a life, when my training has helped me recognize an underlying emergency, or when a call I made ensured that a patient was prioritized upon arrival at the hospital. I explained that a lot of the shit I see, I don't tell her about because I don't want to give her nightmares or make her worry about me. She actually listened and didn't dismiss what I had to say. She responded that she was trying to help by keeping things neat. I responded, "But you're not. Sweetie, I'm not trying to be mean, but you're not helping. You're hindering me. One day it may be the difference between life and death. I need you to not touch my gear. It's where I know where it is, it's where I can easily find it in a short amount of time, and if you move it, you are impeding an emergency response. I don't care if it looks neat. It serves a function, it doesn't look pretty. If you want to help me, please leave my gear where I put it." A few nights later I had my friend Officer Rich come over. Officer Rich was one of the two cops that did CPR on the victim that night. The three of us sat on our deck and had a few social distancing beers. He talked about getting there, doing CPR, giving Narcan, waiting for the ambulance and getting her back shortly before we got there. He then pulled out a few photos of car accidents that I had worked. He showed them to my wife and pointed out, "This car went into a tree. Your husband crawled into the wreck, put a collar on the driver, and stayed in there giving him oxygen until we could get him out." "Your husband pulled a three year old out of this wreck." "Your husband recognized that the driver had a stroke and took her to a stroke center, which likely saved her life." After that, I told her I had something I wanted to show her and I asked her for the same promise I'd asked earlier. When she agreed, I showed her a video on KZread of a police bodycam from an overdose. This video showed how critical time is in getting someone back, and the training someone goes through in order to give the drug, do CPR, and utilize an AED. I told her, "I'm not trying to attack you, I don't want to have a fight, but I want you to understand what I go through. That I hope every call I go on is transporting a boo boo, because otherwise it means that if I don't do everything right someone could die. If I don't get out that door as quickly as possible, someone could suffer brain damage while they're waiting for me to give them oxygen. If I'm upset and shaking because I had to waste time opening my boots, I might miss something critical and someone might not make it." She acknowledged that she understood and told me she hadn't really thought about the danger of what I do until the other night when she saw the photos of the wrecks. I told her that I think she has OCD and needs to see a therapist because it's hurting our marriage. I listed examples of her throwing important things out, moving things without permission, and messing with my gear. I offered to go together and said I'd be willing to work on things together. After I pointed out the pattern, she agreed that it was time to speak to someone. She wants to think about whether she wants to go together or go by herself, but she has promised me that she's going to try to change her patterns. I brought up her saying she thought I was going to hit her, and she acknowledged she'd been with guys who flew off the handle with little provocation and scared her. That she'd never seen me get that angry and it triggered her because she didn't think I was capable of blowing up like that. She's been very emotional lately and has been going through mood swings. She's been worried about me going out on calls. The other day she started crying and said, "I hope you know how much I appreciate what you do." Knock on wood, since we had the big talk, she hasn't touched my boots. Is everything resolved? Not by a longshot. But she seems to have a new appreciation for what I do. Thank you for all of your responses. I wound up not showing her the thread, because a lot of it was pretty harsh towards her. I recognize I cherry picked incidents that didn't put her in the best light, and there's a lot more to her and our marriage than that. She is the person I chose for the rest of my life, and I want us to work. tl;dr Let my wife into my world a little more, she let me into hers, and she hasn't touched my boots since."

I am happy that they were able to have a serious conversation and she has recognized the problem. Even more so, I am glad she has agreed to talking to someone, because it sounds like more than just liking things neat. She has consistent, severe difficulty controlling her compulsive behaviors and handling her emotions, and it is having a profound, negative impact on her marriage and other aspects of her life. I sincerely hope she gets the help she needs

I have OCD and even I wouldn't do something if my husband asked me not to do something. Would I have the compulsion? Definitely, but I'd make a consciousness effort not to. I'm not saying I'd never do it since sometimes I get lost in my own world when cleaning. That being said, I'd have more of a problem with the boots not being in the same spot than them not being tied. XD

Sounds intentional to me. She knows it bothers him, but continues to do it anyway. She expects the eventual blowout and has a speech ready that she wouldn’t feel “safe” then does it AGAIN despite her previous words of “I wont if thats how you’ll react.” It’s a trap, designed for her to emotionally manipulate her husband. Hope he gets out, and fast. And if anybody who reads this has no-win situations like this popping up in their relationship(s), leave them. The first Story is (one of the many) the reasons many emts in germany have a little strip of cloth with a zipper, that attaches to your boots via the ties allowing them to be zipped up. But, otherwise: yeah, that wife sounds insane. She needs help and she needs it from a pro. Edit: on the username there is an update. Seems like they talked and, this time, she got it. She also got, that she needed help and is on her way getting it.

The problem goes further than just OCD, she very clearly does not respect OP. They need couples counseling on top of treating her mental health issues if the relationship is going to work.

The first story actually had an update awhile back where the guy had his boss sit down with him and his wife and walked her through a couple of cases he’s worked on with pictures and everything and she apologized

There was a update for the first story, she stopped tying the shoes after they showed her videos of OP saving a life. Edit:I don’t have the link I just remember seeing it, and it’s sad that it had to come to that. Also thanks for the likes! Link in the reply’s

XMaster34 while I agree with your conclusion, I don’t think insulting everyone else was the right call. In this context, you know nothing about them other than their input on a single story. Maybe they have a justified reason to feel the way they do, maybe not. That’s beside the point though. Either way, if you don’t care enough to read until this point I won’t blame you as it is kind of a textwall and likely doesn’t fall under your confirmation bias. As somebody on the reverse side (tidying up after hubby) she just needs to work with him to have a designated place for him to dump his gear. Like, "if it's in this wicker basket or this corner of the room, then me no touchy. If it's not in the basket/corner I will put it there." @THE HOUSTONADERTLDR; I AGREE WITH YOU but also she's not doing it for OCD or neat freak reasons. other youtubers who have done this story have looked into the edits on this, it turns out that he tried many ways to hide the boots and she went out of her way to find them, he locked them up before and she would unlock whatever held them and then put the keys somewhere else. he had to wake her up to find out where she had put them, she was clearly doing this on purpose and not just because she needs to be tidy.

5:30 Sounds like gaslighting, or atleast what I've been told gaslighting is by my therapist. My mom used to do similar shit. Some people are just bored without drama, so they pick on their spouse, or in my case, their kid, causing trouble wherever they can. It got to the point where my mom would lie to other parents & insult them, which would somehow drip down & get me beaten up. The last time I saw her, I was helping her babysit my autistic brother & she caused another fight, insulted me in every way possible, then picked up my switch & almost tossed it across the room. Most people would say they aren't proud of what I was about to do, but I'm not most people. After all the abuse, all the shit she put me through, I slammed her against the wall & told her that if she touched my stuff again, or said one more word, she'd be choking on her teeth. I told her that she's not a woman, she's a monster. That she's not a mother, she's a womb donor. My throat hurt from how loud I shouted at her...Sadly, when you have someone that gaslights, this is exactly the kind of thing they get off on. She proceeded to 'call the cops' (I know she was lying because I heard what she said & it was along the lines of 'my son is terrible, but I'm just calling to check in.' which I'm pretty sure would be wasting police time), then called everyone under the sun & cried about how horrible I am, before coming back to me, smug as ever & told me I just ruined my life. It worked out for me, because anyone I cared about eventually listened to my side, but op needs to be careful. A gaslighter CAN ruin your life. Sorry if I made my example a bit too long, but I wanted it to be an example, not a 'someone gaslit me. It could end poorly for you.' kind of thing.

Based on my life experiences, the wife has psychological issues such as OCD and some level of anxiety that needs addressed. The OP needs to leave that relationship if she doesn't seek help.

The First story actually has an update: He called in one of his friends who worked with him, who showed his wife pictures of the wrecks they worked on. Then they showed her a video that laid out just how important time was when it came to being an EMT. The wife is agreeing to go to therapy I believe, she hasn't touched his boots since.

First story OP's wife definitely needs to get some therapy for her ocd about having everything neat & organized to that level. OP would also be best to buy some boots with side zippers so they can stay tied all the time so he can get to a call quickly without having to untie them first. Third story The best solution is that OP & his new wife can spend their wedding night in a private suite away from her family then they can have the sheets the next day to do what they wish with. This still keeps the generational blanket aspect of the tradition while giving OP privacy.

Everyone is talking about how the wife in the first story has OCD. No. That's NOT the main problem here. Granted, maybe she does, maybe she doesn't. But to me, that doesn't sound like OCD. She specifically goes through his desk and throws things out because SHE assumes they aren't important. She specifically rearranges his things, to the point where he can't find them at times. And now the issue with the shoes. She's literally making his life harder and harder for him, to the point where it's slowly breaking him down, and refuses to stop. She ISN'T open to any form of discussion whatsoever. SHE BRUSHES OFF WHATEVER HE SAYS, GASLIGHTING HIM. "It can't be helped!" When he yelled, she IMMEDIATELY played the victim. Scared he was going to hit her? No. She was mad to be called on it YET AGAIN and deliberately found a story to make HER the victim in all of this. And when he finally DOES react, she AGAIN finds a reason to be the victim. This is straight up psychological ABUSE. She is breaking him down to her WILL, so that SHE can do whatever SHE likes. Don't give her a pass on that. It's deliberate and manipulative.

Yes, her behavior is irrational. OCD isn’t just being a neat freak, it IS completely irrational and even dangerous. For example if someone has a tick where they NEED to wash their hands a certain number of times, it can actually damage their hands, BUT IT DOESNT MATTER BECAUSE THEY WILL STILL DO IT. She probably rationalizing her undiagnosed disorder and wants to believe that she’s normal. Mental health issues aren’t pretty, they can seriously mess up your life when unchecked.

Pigeon Toes My friend had OCD and anxiety and would constantly ask questions in class and managed to get quite a lot of the year to hate her for it unintentionally. I’d say the husband can’t tell from his side if it’s a compulsion or not because she does it when he’s not around. She needs to go to a therapist for certain.

Don't tell your girlfriend she needs to choose between you and your family, tell her you would never ask her to choose between you and her family, which is why you have no choice but to break up. If she's ok with that, then you don't need her. If you're more important, to her, she'll choose you. EDIT: HAHA! I wrote that before finishing the story! I didn't know the father was going to do that! DAYUM! I'd show the gf what the father said and let her take it from there. Poor guy should run away as fast as he can. There was an update to the neat freak wife. They talked. OP explained to her why her messing with his gear isn’t helpful, but a hinderance, and even showed her some pictures of previous severe wrecks he had to save someone from. His wife understood, and opened up a little that she was just trying to be neat and tidy, and her fears of him when he got angry was because she’d been in previous relationships where the guy got so pissed with her at the slightest provocation, and they’ve both agreed she may have OCD, and she’ll be trying for therapy for it. They just haven’t decided if she goes alone, or if she wants OP with her.

Exactly. If this guy is really happy in this marriage, it's only because *he* is so unreasonably patient and kind.

As someone who was at one time an EMT, theres been times you could get to a call mere seconds too late, someone choking too long, heart attacks, serious bleeding, drug overdoses, so many dituations where LITERALLY every second matters, and while the relationship may seem great, it seems more like she's more focused on what you give her, than what she gives. If I had a spouse doing that, then I'd definitely break the relationship. I care too much about peoples lives to have not given it my all to sace their lives, and if soneine died because my boots were all tied up by my spouse, it'd literally haunt me forever. Its one of the reasons I stopped being an EMT, i just couldn't handle the next call being a dying kid or someone bleeding out all alone... I wish you the best, and I wish your wife gsins some clarity on the impact her actions cause.

The MIL-to-be didn't seem to understand that coercion isn't a "tradition." It's a crime. Imagine if a landlord told someone, "Sleep with me or I'll evict you." Pressuring someone to do acts they aren't comfortable with after they've said "no" is sexual assault.

Only in America does something like this seem absolutely out of left field... mainly because of our Puritan Cultural Heritage. They were teasing him, it got out of hand, and obviously the MIL didn't know they were teasing him that he was supposed to have sex.

@@hardlineamerican8495 Especially the guy in the post. You would have a real hard time finding anyone that was born in the UK to at least one parent born in the UK that is NOT related to royalty somewhere back in the line. Heck, even if her parents are immigrants, she probably does too.

The "royalty" boyfriend sounds like he just wanted an excuse all this time to feel like he's better than people. Needs to be thrown out because he's becoming toxic and delusional. Also the wife in the first story really needs therapy. She sounds like something is off in her head, and she literally cannot stop doing all these tidying things. If she's able to be a good partner in every other aspect, then this is probably just a more singular issue that needs to be addressed.

It sounds to me like she's a pretty crappy partner in other ways too though, beyond what can be explained by regular mental illness. It's one thing to have the urge to tidy, it's another to completely disrespect another person's boundaries without guilt or remorse.

The EMT story had a happy follow up later, the wife watched some cottage of what the husband goes through as an EMT and realised how time is absolutely of the essence. It was a very wholesome ending. And on a slightly different note; my dad used to be volunteer firefighter and he had all his gear set up a very specific way so he could jump up whenever the alarm went off and just get it all on and be out of the house in less than a minute. It’s super important.

Another thing you missed about the family. If they are extra sentimental, that could be the mattress where the parents conceived their own kids lol.

That first woman infuriates me. What got me was "she never thought i was capable of getting that angry." Thats when it clicked to me with her earlier comment "well, you know me!" and constantly laughing off the guys concerns, requests and boundaries. Its not that she thought he would hit her. Its that she has gotten used to taking advantage of his impressive self control, and therefore never learned you cant just *try* to piss people off. Ive been in similar situations before. Its infuriating when shitty people walk all over you, because they assume you dont get mad. And when you finally do, it puts the fear right in them. Not because of what you might do, but because they realize youve been holding back the whole time and are afraid they pushed into "going postal" territory.

Coolkid Shinji it’s also possible it’s just severe anxiety, worrying that her habits were going to cause someone to leave and then over thinking someone’s mild pay back until it blows out of proportion in her head and causes and break down. I know I’ve had those and it’s not because I can’t do things differently or have things a different way but things that other people do to my things gives me anxiety as it feels like a critique on me even though I know rationally it’s not

Yes, another youtuber gave a good example of this. If you think only 40 generations back, which would cover maybe roughly a thousand years, the amount of ancestors for each person would be 2 ^ 40 (2 parents, 4 grandparents, 8 great-grandparents etc.). The problem is, already this amount of generations produces an amount of ancestors which is greater than the amount of humans ever lived on earth. So the only explanation is a lot of shared lineage along the way and even downright inbreeding.

To put this simply, when a heart attack occurs,a clot forms in the heart causing tissue to die. So the longer you are delayed the more tissue dies and the more chance you have of dying. Even a five minute delay can cost a life. You deserve better my guy.

I recently found out my family are related with nobility, and it hasn't affected how i act with other people at all. Finding out that you have royal ancestors is just a fun piece of trivia, it doesn't matter in any regard to your actual life.

The EMT guy should tell his wife the patient died to his delay. She's insane.

@@sirkiz1181 that's exactly why it isn't OCD. People with OCD are very aware of how irrational we are and would never react the way she did to someone who calls out our irrational behavior.

EMT OP should look into shoes that he could easily slip into, and/or ones that don't require to be tied.

I don't think the EMT was wrong for yelling, at all. He tried telling her over and over again not to touch his stuff and she kept doing it. If she wants to have such wanton disregard for anybody except herself, she should probably do it as a single woman.

I feel like the wife is abusive here, not the EMT. She keeps not respecting his boundaries, even when other lives are at stake.

In the update it turned out that she was a former abuse victim. She also has OCD.

The shoe thing, with her not stopping after being continually being told to do so is grounds for divorce, no respect for boundaries. Also, how casually she lobbed the " I was afraid you would hit me" grenade at him? OP, run fast, don't turn around. This will end badly.

Well, practically anyone alive is in some way or form related to the british royal family. And German royal family, and even though the French thought they killed everyone from French royal heritage, even they have been known to screw around. Essentially, thanks to royal bloodlines only marrying other royal bloodlines, while also practically raping peasants, or having mistresses. Its almost a certainty that everyone is connected to all European royal families. Let alone the fact that its almost a certainty that practically half of the world will very likely be related to Ghengis Khan. It is why we dont tend to check beyond great great grandparents in terms of heritage. Which is why people love claiming "I am 1/16th Cherokee" or some shit, while never really someone claiming "I am 1/32nd Haitian". Or "I am 1/1024th Ghenghis Khan". Yet the likelihood of having those exact numbers is actually more frequent in the population than being 1/16th of something. TL:DR; If your great great great grandparents were considered royalty, but your great great grandparents werent, then you're not.

Yeah, every white person in Europe can trace back their lineage back to Charlemagne, an Emperor of Holy Roman Empire. I can't remember what it's called, but every living person today has more ancestors (you, parents 2, grandparents 4, great-grandparents 8 etc.) than there have been humans that have every lived on the planet. As such the more distant in to the past you look back, you will be able to prove you're related to anyone. With enough time and effort I could prove my white butt is related to both Samuel L. Jackson and Jackie Chan.

Maybe _she_ wouldn't, but there are people living on the streets who would be happy to find a job, even if it's cleaning toilets, but they can't. The boot string issue is a easy solve. I'm a Firefighter/EMT. They make boots with zippers up the side. You lace your shoes tight then use the zipper up the side to get in and out of them.

The last story! OMG! I actually know someone who found royalty in their bloodline hundreds of years back from doing the DNA thing. They also got uppity for a hot minute. It happens more than one would expect and then they get brought down when they find all the cousin marriage and axe murders when they actually do genealogy!

Emt here, i can understand the first story. My gear is my lifeline, and messing with anything can mean unneccessary searching and prep. My bag is specifically organized for how much i would require everything from asprin to stethescope to cpr mask, to bg kit. When i sleep at the station my pants and boots are prepped for immediate response at all times.

The last story's BF, has a Greatx10 Grandfather with ties to european royalty... I don't think I've laughed this hard in weeks... ok, let me explain; Let's assume that's English royalty, because, ya know, noneoftheothersreallymatterallthatmuch That boy would need to kill (depending on relations) 2000-4000+ other people for his "bloodline" to mean jackshit. and even then, he'd still have to deal with 1000-2000 other people who'd have just as legitimate a claim to the throne as him.

You clearly don't understand how British monarchy works. Is a constitutional monarchy, Parliament approves or disapproves the new King. So, even if he kills every single person with a drop of blood royal, he still has to be picked by Parliament. And I doubt they'd pick a nobody with 4,000 murders as their credentials. Now for other monarchies, I dunno, it might work ? But then you would have to consider the Regent or who is doing the blood testing or whatnot, why they would not pick themselves to be next King instead of this poor arse with a deranged look on his face (murdering hundreds of people HAS an effect ).

I mean honestly, same. I have actual OCD, but if it meant ruining my relationship with my fiance, I'd try to find a way to fix it, like tell him to put his boots in a different area so I couldn't see them or something, but even with my severe OCD I would never ever disrespect my fiance like that, or laugh at him for being "overdramatic"

I’ve had the same flip out swear storm OP did over his boots. It’s not the thing itself that they’ve done, it’s the disrespect. You asked them not too, they acknowledged it, then disregard it. The problem was the wife and emt ignoring a clear case of OCD for far to long imo

First story, get side-zip boots. That way the laces don't actually need to be used at all; they're just there for optimal sizing/comfort.

That EMT's wife sounds pretty OCD. She can't help tying his shoes, because she just HAS to do it. That also explains why she freaked out when he tampered with her shoes. She needs help.

6:15 Completely agree. I was already thinking somewhere around the beginning that she needs a psychologist or psychotherapist to deconstruct whatever fantasy world she's built for herself so she can see the hurt she is causing.. and it only became more and more evident as the story went along.
