I think my favourite part is that the entitled people (entitled dad and uncle in particular) dug themselves into that mess. I can't believe they only got 18 points between them. For the past three years, I've lived on a different continent than my grandma, and have only gone home once, and I'd still get more points than the grandpa's children did had she put that system in place.

@@Rubbe87 but the OP in the story does not live in America. We do not have mandatory military service, neither does Canada. It had to have happened in Europe. I suspect that we don't have more lawsuits per person, just reported on more. Some of the "ridiculous" lawsuits are actually quite reasonable if you look at the actual facts of the cases and not the lies and slander that the media portrays.

They clearly have good heads on their shoulders and that's why grandpa gave them the money. And he obviously realized that he failed as a parent, at least partially, and that's why his kids got nothing.

I was a teen and helped my grandma who had dementia a lot more than that. My mom was a single mom and had to take care of two kids on her own with my oldest sister already moved out but having a child we also had to take care of a lot yet she also somehow managed to at least visit her mom once a week. I was there at least once a week too with a friend and we would often play games to keep her brain working as best as possible. My older brother used to go shopping for her and we only had help for a couple of hours when our grandma was still well enough to live on her own. These assholes deserved nothing.

It really is truly awful that he was treated that way by his sons and grandsons, seriously what kind of people who actually have a good relationship with their parents only calls vists etc that many times in 3 years 😳 its disgusting behaviour for crying out loud it doesn't take that much effort to pick up a phone once a week 🙄 that's just heartbreaking especially as grandpa sounds like he was an amazing stand up guy who actually cared for and loved his family. I don't get the impression that he was a abusive father or did anything to deserve been treated that way, he also knew just what kind of arseholes his sons and grandsons not including the grandson who actually cared for and supported grandpa in everyway he could with the help of his friend and giving him the support and help he needed so that he didn't have to go into a home, I'm pretty sure without them helping and supporting him his sons would have had him locked up in a home and sold everything they could taking him for everything penny he had, 😕 it takes a special kind of arsehole to treat their good father that way and still expect to receive all their money after their death and in the end he just showed them just how badly they had treated him and gave them a fair reward for that treatment. The fact he actually left them anything at all and didn't just leave them with nothing just shows what kind of man he was, he did it fairly so they couldn't turn around and say they didn't get anything when he could have and quite rightly too just not leave them anything and cut them all from the will entirely but he chose a fair and good way to split the money giving the most to those who deserved it. Ok yes there are people who have bloody awful parents who dont deserve to have any kind of relationship with their kids mine are included in that description of parents where the world would be so much better if they were dead.🙄 Now I'm betting ED and EU only ever contacted grandpa when they wanted something from him, as it sounds like grandpa wasn't short of money and lived a pretty comfortable life so I'm pretty sure they all including the other grandsons called for handouts and used him as a 🏧 when they needed money its just a guess but I've met someone like this years ago who in 10 years only contacted their parents 20 time each time was to ask for money !! and no other reason, 💰. I love how his grandpa dealt with them in his will it was a brilliant plan. I'm glad grandpa had at least his one grandson and his friend who cared for him with no expectations and did it out of love and for no other reason 😀💕 and they other got what they deserved

Cats are just as bad. You’d think nah, they’re not as big as most dogs! And that may be true.... but they’re more likely to come in packs and happy to tag team you. My brats will even sit on each other’s heads so that they both fit on my lap together. I told them they’re going to have problems as I keep losing weight because my lap is shrinking. They don’t find that sentiment amusing, lol.

My big 45 pound 3 year old borador decided she was going to leap onto my mom’s lap at the vet and hide her head in my mom’s shirt all because two Bichon Frises walked in. They will always be lap babies, doesn’t matter how big they get, you’re the one that’s got to adjust.

Thank you for the puppy bloopers. I lost my 5 year old female Lab just yesterday 9/18/21. I was missing her and grieving her loss. Was trying to distract myself by watching videos on youtube. OP is fortunate that his friend's grandpa cared for him enough to include him in his will. My grandfather left something to both my uncles, my aunt, and my two cousins. My brother and I were told "your dad died, so I didn't leave anything to you." Like, wtf does that even mean? And my family wonders why I didn't attend his funeral or his burial at sea.
