r/Prorevenge How I Destroyed The Life Of My Roommate From Hell!

r/Prorevenge In today's episode, OP has an absolutely awful roommate who violates their agreement and gives the apartment key to strange men, which puts OP's safety at risk. OP figures that if her roommate is going to put OP's safety at risk, then OP might as well return the favor! She finds a replacement roommate who has a revolving door of strange men coming in every night to give the roommate a taste of her own medicine!

Agree, I am studying bussines administration, which includes HR. And man, I understand wanting employees to be loyal or affiliated with the company, but seriously, some people are on the job for the paycheck alone and that's it. Forcing people to do stuff (of course, except in some cases, like a medical check) is the worst way to make your employees "loyal" to the company

I just hate people! I literally can't stand most of my roommates, because they're all jerks! Spending time with any of them is way more painful then just staying in my room doing my homework! They are always like, "You need to go outside and find real friends. Not sit in front of your computer all day." and shit like that. What is wrong with not wanting to go outside and just talk to people I'm comfortbale with, even if it's just online? I hate going anywhere with these people, because they're just so embarassing. I rather have nice online friends, who encourage me instead of real humans who I can't get away from. Being online is actually easier, because a person can't stress you out that much, if they aren't right in front of you.

Like, at all. So rather than have her trash keep piling up, she would pack it all into a box, gift wrap it, then leave it in the back seat of her unlocked car at night. I love the story about the engineer. When you're good enough, you have that kind of leeway. At my job, we have no cell phone policies, but I work in the back room and when I'm on the clock things always run much more smoothly. So, my bosses have learned to recognize this and give me some healthy privilege. Hell, the store manager trusts and respects me so much that, after we closed last night, she handed me the keys to her car and asked me to get something for her. I joked about just driving away, but she didn't hesitate. It's a good feeling, when you have a strong professional relationship with someone like that. I had a job once who's idea of team building was to have desks back to back and a connect 4 or other 2 person game between the 2 desks. You were actively encouraged to play now and then through the day and if one of you had a particularly bad call, the two of you could pause your call queue and play multiple games. You would also have a different desk every day so you would regularly have different games with different people. Since it was a call centre that paid on commission rather than hourly, as long as they made over heads and a little extra for the bosses poker money, they were happy. Also there were bean bags instead of chairs in the conference room.

I remember when I worked at Wendys (first job) they made us all ding a bell anytime we washed our hands, then everyone would have to drop what they were doing to clap and cheer anytime we heard that bell. I hated it so much. I got written up for not cheering before while I was trying to prepare burgers. I couldn't understand how we were supposed to be quick if we had to act like seals everytime someone washed their hands...

I feel like cheering then is warranted, because it's us acknowledging that the people in the department actually accomplished something that deserves congratulation. More importantly, it's optional, you're not really expected to clap, people just do it

First story: I honestly think OP made CLG dodge a bullet on this one too, since he at least acted like a decent person, despite his outward appearance. Second story: For me, having an outwardly positive attitude is the better thing when it comes to customer interactions. I've had my own share of interactions with grumpy people at some businesses who've left me with a horrible impression of their business management, and their attitude alone have dissuaded me from ever wanting to have to deal with the businesses they work for ever again if I can avoid it. I even have a co-worker who just can't put a lid on his "selective" aggressive mannerism no matter where he is or who he talks to, which has made me reluctant to ever wanting to work alongside him. But at least I can agree that enforcing an positive internal business atmosphere is nothing short of pretentious, because there will always be disagreements and setbacks in all companies, and not getting to openly express your negative emotions to your co-workers and/or superiors is one of the factors behind stress, which will then affect your life on your free time negatively. If it's not okay to be a physical corporate slave, it's not okay to be emotional slave either. Third story: Bonus revenge if they'd taken the license plates of those lawyers' cars and reported them for theft. Who knows what other _dirty things_ the authorities would dig up if and when they'd went to investigate that case, because I'm sure that scumbag lawyers like that has something else hidden if they're willing to openly harass the victims of their clients.

Ive learned alot with my own roommate Manic Miranda! She was only 20 but had a well paying job. I quickly learned that she steals food, doesnt clean to the point of two months of old food and tampons in her 8 garbage bags shoved in her closet. I had to have emergency surgery and had to pay her one day pay from her work to take off and take me ($100 an hour). While in surgery the came back home and stole money I had kept in my car, you would think she would have taken out the trash. That night she comes to me at midnight telling me she is breaking our month to month lease to move to of state to take care of her dying grandfather. I was smart enough to have a legal agreement. She told me she needed $200 of the prepaid money she paid for next month…on top of it she reminded me she needed the money to drive me to the hospital and the $200 deposit. During this time our hot water heater had broken, turns out its from backed up drains for her failure to clean. = $500, a few days later when I was no longer on pain killers I reminded her that I cant sign or verbally agree to any contract right after surgery…She left without cleaning and after she read the lease saying she owed for the next month rent. When her daddy came to me threatening me, I slapped him with a restraining order! I wasnt all the way a witch, I did refund her the $100 for driving me to the hospital….my next roommate agreement will included many things mentioned here and what I learned from her.
