Even though I literally offered to go on a date with her, she goes on about how I have no respect for her, I’m the most disgusting and rude person she’s ever talked to, and that she was going to kill herself because of me rejecting her. Wtf?? I didn’t reject you. I said I wanted to know you better over a date. I’m not about going straight into bf/gf. And the next day of school she started telling kids that I was the one that asked her out and that I was a “desperate pig” and I “harassed” her. So I leaked those screenshots ASAP lmao

So, an ex of mine was a bit on the nutty side. Aside from believing herself to be a descendent of a Greek Titan, she also: Wanted to break my leg to prevent me from leaving her. Clarified that she'd only be breaking a part that had been previously broken (while playing Airsoft, not by her). Asked me which method I preferred: Having it hit with a metal bat, pushing me down the stairs, or setting it on a hard surface and stomping on it. Was incredibly upset when I decided to not have my leg broken, as I was moving for work. Broke up my D&D group cause she didn't like one guy's new girlfriend. She thought he got a girlfriend solely to make her jealous. Decided to impersonate the guy she was banging behind my back on Facebook to harass me. Told said guy all of my insecurities so that he could weaponize them and drive me to near suicide. Tried to string me along when that relationship fell apart. Threatened suicide when I told her that I didn't want to talk to her anymore. All of this took place in under 6 months. Good times.

I had to move across the country, one guy had to move up north, one moved to a different country altogether, etc., so it was gonna happen either way. We don't talk much nowadays, due to living completely different lives at this point, but I've got a new one, so I'm doing well! And, yeah, I do very much view that as a "If I survived that, I can survive anything" sort of situation. I don't view it as a "bad relationship," but more of a learning experience, that I've learned more about the kind of person I want to be with when the time comes and, also, the sort of signs to look for that things aren't right. I do appreciate your kind words and concerns, though! Thank you!

@prickly pear Have comfort knowing that you're not among those that upset you and that they make up a very small percentage of the population. While she made my life hell for a few months, I do still miss her. She made me incredibly happy and bolstered my confidence a ton. She introduced me to a lot of new things that are now a part of who I am today. Just because a relationship ended on bad terms or was bad overall does not mean that nothing good came of it.

I think nobody can know at first if a person is a ''nicegirl/guy'' because when they start talking to you, you will only receive praises and shits like ''you perfect, don't ever change, love you, etc'' (it's still more easy to reconize "niceguy'' because they will act like fucking knights). I think the only way to figure this out is when you have a fight with them, that can be because you know that something was weird with the girl or for trivial reason like ''am i pretty/hot?, who is ''mom''? What did you fucking do yesterday?''. In any way, i don't know how people can remain calm when they have a fight with them, like are they deceive or didn't they have somewhat feelings for them? Because i know that i would definitly not act like a serious adult.

Gosh, my mom had a boyfriend like some of these "nice girls". He was actually an old friend of hers who she went out with as a short term thing. Keep in mind, she wasn't looking for something serious at the time. She just wanted to spend time with her friend, have fun, and go on a date, but he wanted something more. He wasn't crazy clingy and insecure, but it was enough for my mom to say, "Yeah, no." Needless to say, that relationship lasted exactly a week. Ironically, she met my dad three weeks later. TL;DR - I'm here today because my mom dodged a bullet back in the 90s. :)
