The migraine story reminds me of a fact I found out as I used to have them. 95% of most migraine sufferers are actually struggling from stress headaches. So if your wife has them to investigate the possibility of stress headaches with her medical professionals. A few changes if habits can eliminate them

A couple of decades I was an early 40's yo single student at an Engineering College and one of my professors, a tenured Chinese Professor, who had just gone through a divorce. And when he found out I was single he latched on to me to party with. Being a fairly nice looking guy with a good athletic build and a great paying career, I had little problems getting dates with the ladies. And he decided I was "The Guy to hang out with. I went to his home a few times and noticed ha had a large collection of very expensive Uni Labeled computers there. He explained them as one of the perks of being a college professor. A year and a half later I was getting tired of his constant phone calls and bragging about how we were such a hot ticket with the ladies, it got so bad I couldn't even have a date alone, or meet up with any of my friends without him tagging along. So I slipped a note to the College Ethics Department asking about why this Professor had all the Uni computers at his residence. Found out later that he had "Borrowed" them without permission. He got shown the door in shame and arrested for theft of over a $Million Dollars in college equipment. Seems he was selling them! I liked the guy at first, but he grew to be quite the milestone around my neck.

I used to work in a call center for an electric company and we'd use helicopters to scout our equipment to make sure everything was operational and not at risk of starting a fire due to weather or damage, one lady called in saying she had a brain cancer and that "the helicopter flying over her house everyday and all day long was giving me headaches and I can't sleep" that we were doing it on purpose to target her or something like that, and it eventually came down to her crying to me saying that we don't care about poor people that, tbats why we were spreading covid with the helicopter, I was literally holding my mouth open as if my jaw dropped to the floor, I had no idea how to respond to that except laugh later about how someone can come to that conclusion

Don't know what a migraine feels like? Good. I suffer from migraines and periodic cluster headaches. The way I can tell the difference between the two is migraines make me so sensitive to light it feels like a jackhammer in my eye sockets, whereas a cluster headache makes me so sensitive to sound it feels like a nuke went off in my eardrum

Also to all those who don't know how bad migraines can really be I can tell you how bad they can really get from first hand experience. They can inhibit your ability to walk and even make it seem like you're having a heart attack or even a strike right down to the drooping of just one side of your body. It's not fun at all.

Sometimes we'd get a client or 3rd party email with a return receipt as well. We had to quarantine the mailbox and make a new one to fix it... twice . I'm now in another dept so no idea if they still have the issues with that or not

When I traveled we would eat in the office. The company home office was so large they had their own cafeteria w/4 entrees and a ton of a la cart stuff like slice of pizza, of chicken Marsala, pasta salad, ice cream machine and 2 Seattle’s best stores in our building. If I had to eat out of the office we were told to just be mindful and anything reasonable was allowed.

3rd story, that you mention 8 weeks unpaid leave as if it was great, well, here women when they have a kid can take up to 1 year paid leave, paid at 55% and they can split it with their husband say 6 months leave each or if she wants, she can give it all to him and go right back to work. The US is so far behind in worker's right, it's not even funny.

Story 14, I don't know what the guy is complaining about with no alcohol being covered. That's started reimbursement protocol, doesn't matter where you get sent to for work. I've only ever seen a very rare example of such being covered by a typical reimbursement. Such is usually reserved for a special company party, not casual business or travel, and then it's usually pre-paid, or only paid up to a certain level of consumption. So while 'clever', I can't get behind this guy for specifically taking advantage of the system here to consume alcohol when it's such a standard practice not to reimburse such. The part where they treat the team to lunch, though, that was nice.

Regarding Story 13, I have traveled a lot for work and I've always tried to save money for my boss, try to find a cheaper but decent hotel, not spend too much on food etc. Some companies do not allow their staff to book hotels for themselves or have them pick from a list of allowed hotels. Some companies also pay a set amount for food per day so if you go cheap, you have money left over but if you go expensive, you pay.

I suffer from migraines and that description at 27:38 of the railroad spike pounded into your eye socket is pretty much dead on, at least for me too. The part where the manager screamed at her and she threw up on her hits home as well, my dog has a habit of barking at the garbage truck when it comes and last time I had a migraine I puked everywhere. It was hell to clean up because every movement of your head could make the pounding worse. Probably the worst I've ever had was in high school. I went to a small school where the history teacher was the football coach and was barely qualified to teach. My head had been pounding all morning and all we had to do in that class was a worksheet afterwards we entertained ourselves, so it got loud in there. I sat there with the aforementioned railroad spike pounding into my head when all of the sudden my periphery started going black. I was about to pass out so I got up and asked to go to the office and called my grandma to check me out. I drove home puked as soon as I got there and laid down on the recliner with my hat over my eyes and Behind the Music: Aerosmith in the background turned way down. I was asleep in 10 minutes.

You stated that if you are polite with customer service reps they will be more willing to help you, with that statement it's a safe bet that you have never called Straight Talk customer service. Their only response to any question is " I am not authorized to give you that information" I asked to speak to a manager " I am not authorized to give you that information" I asked what they are authorized to tell me " I am not authorized to give you that information" I asked what is the name of the company you work for " I am not authorized to give you that information" Straight Talk customer service will make you feel levels of frustration and hate you never thought possible.

Story 16 - This is a perfect display of dealing with non technical people. The mere thought of buying the device and plugging it in would have been too technical for them to handle. I once had to dress up and go to a clients premises to supervise a dial up modem installation and to program their inhouse pocket paging system software as the sales rep was not technical and thus save a corporate sales deal from being cancelled. Also had to test the system and teach their staff how to use the software. And later instruct their staff how to add another pager to the system over the phone.

I listen to your posts in the background while I'm working most days so most of the recent stories will be something I've heard recently and likely remember. If it were older stories there's a higher chance that I wouldn't remember them. No big deal if you put them out, you just seemed to be asking for our opinions so I figured I'd let you know.

LoL. Those who shop at Kohl's do have a smugness about themselves. Even some of the employees. I loathe that store. I had an x girlfriend that loved that snobhole. Yeah I had to get rid of her. She's a wannabe and I'm just blue collar and worked retail in my youth. To this day I really don't have issues when shopping. And if the cashier is new. I just smile as they do their best. Even this 1 girl who was on the spectrum started crying when she messed up my purchase. I just smiled told her it's ok. And if she needs help. Call. I will wait. The Karen behind was getting pissy and literally started screaming manager. The manager was just about there already because they saw the poor girl was having a problem. The manager apologized offered coupons . I was like. Dude. I'm good 😊. She's doing well and probably new on register. He said yes. And thanked me for my understanding. And before he could deal with Karen. I was already on her. My little brother is on the spectrum and so I don't take lightly to entitled people. I was in bike gear . Let's just say I had Karen crying and I didn't yell or nothing. Just told her the truth. Then I told her to get a job and stop being a professional to her rich husband. The girl behind the register gave me a hug. She got better overtime and I was one of her favorite regulars. Nice girl and beautiful smile.

My buddy just started listening to the KCC. He does the 1 hour or longer ones well at work. He just called me after the plumbing one and his boss is triggered because he used to be the guy doing the long away jobs and he did the same thing. Lol😊

So talking about living in a hotel room in expenses I've always lived in the world of per diem I have slept in a truck bed before to save money actually camping in the bed of a truck on a job site was pretty fun I even slept in the bed of a truck in a tent in a Walmart parking lot back in the early 2000s there was a time whenever I was driving tractor trailer whenever I was working in the next state over that I started living out of the back of a box trailer that the company owned and never used anymore it was an old moving trailer with a side man door that I build a set of steps up into and ran a bunch of extension cords and to have things like lights and television stuff I had to deal with the secretary where she gave me in cash the $200 that I normally would have spent on a hotel room and use the office bathroom and for showers and stuff I used my fuel rewards points from filling up the truck with diesel to get free showers at the truck stops I really like that arrangement it was great 8 months but the job sucked big fat donkey we wee

@ 50:00 Why on earth would you complain about getting paid properly for your work time plus a day off for your overtime? Some people seriously undervalue their own work. Love the long videos, especially with yt premium I can download at home and listen through my work day.

Sending 150 financial documents is akin to paying a bill with penny's. Although double check the fine print on that one. Some require any change over one dollar to be rolled or not excepted at all.

You wouldn't need a tank that big unless their on 4+lpm of o2 and wow that's a huge pile of 🐎 💩 . Former hospice nurse here. Btw you'll over inflate their lungs by pushing a 2 lpm by 4 lpm (lpm= liters per minute) keep blowing up a ballon over and over the balloon will pop.
