Oh my god, I can’t believe how excited the crowd was...!!!!! And boy Michael sure revelled in the excitement. As they begin to play, the crowd erupts and Michael looks over to Mike Mills with a huge grin on face. They certainly gave it their all and the crowd just couldn’t get enough of it. A standout performance from everyone that night, including the audience. It just doesn’t get any better than that. The finest performance ever..!!!!!!!!!

In 2019 this is still one of the best songs in the XX century!!! REM rocks!

The roar of the crowd is what musicians dream of. You could feel the energy and the connection. That reaction awesome to watch. What a great moment to capture.

Music that holds up. The definition of classic..timeless. Michael Stipe-one of the great front men in rock.

I'm trying not to listen to this as often as I'd like to, for fear of having enough of it - but I don't think I'll ever tire of this song. Something ultimate and timeless about it. I'm not a fan of REM.... but I'm a fan of THIS SONG.

Love these live versions when the crowd goes ballistic. I've never performed in a band but have to think that just amps you up as a performer. Knowing the fans paid their hard-earned money for you to do this one four minute song. I have to think it would make you want to just belt it out and give them everything you have. Stipe sure sings it like that - the man was born to do this.

You can tell that Stipe appreciates the crowd and gives it all. Great job REM

Because they annoy the HELL out of people. The flashing light is so so distracting. I was at Brian Adams in 2016 and it was atrocious. 2 months later at Don Henley and it was signposted, 'ALL Mobile Phones switched OFF or you will be asked to leave.' Pitch dark, amazing. 10 mins before the end he said to everyone they could switch their 'gadgets' on and finished with Hotel California & Desperado. Set the pace for concerts in 3Arena, Dublin.

I am a mandolin player, bluegrass primarily but have to learn this song. Almost perfect if there is such a thing. Bravo

To me, this is the greatest song written, lyrics that would touch the soul of just about any mortal human being because they can relate at least once in their life to it, then its wrapped in a very enchanted musical feast that makes the song that much more mysterious. REM to my opinion had to be of the top performers of their era, but of all time, and I miss them much.....
