Tengo un radio de estos que pasara prende pero no suena el parlante ni los audifonos que pasara por favor si alguien me puede decir que pasa

Hola amigo. Este problema de audio en SW1 es causado por "condensadores electrolíticos", que filtran y distorsionan el audio. Necesitan ser reemplazados para que la radio funcione correctamente. En mi radio que aparece en este video se cambiaron y funciona muy bien, como pueden ver.

I've replaced all 6 capacitors with Panasonic caps but now the FM reception is poor. I'm thinking that due to maybe placing too much solder on one of the caps there might be a short circuit? Does anyone happen to know whether any of the 6 caps are responsible for the FM reception? Or do you think it might be something else? Antenna improves reception when I pull it out so it's not the antenna.

Hello Florin. Check all the conections between the capacitors and the circuity board. It´s very comon that some traces broke during the change process. Could be some short circuit too, but in this case, I think that the radio will not power on, ok?

@@ecstanger It was much simpler than that. There is a Local / DX button on the left side of the radio. Completely forgot about that one. Getting good reception now and quality sound. Rookie mistake. I'm often pissed when I look at faq questions in manuals and they tell you to check obvious things like if the appliance is plugged in or dummy things like that. Should I have checked the manual I'm sure they would have said about that switch. I was thinking to sell the radio but it's all good now. Getting decent reception and good sound. :)

Hello Florin. It's a little strange what you said, because the DX/Local switch has no use in the FM range, only AM and Shortwave. But I'm glad if that somehow solved the problem.

@@ecstanger someone else said that as well. I have the radio next to me. Switching DX / Local switch on / off makes a world of difference in FM. So yes, it works for FM too. And I remember working on other radios I've had before as well, so yes it works on FM too.
