This breaks my heart. My husband is emotionally unavailable, unwilling to discuss issues. It’s so sad and devastating. I feel as if we should just get divorced. It takes two to make it work. I pray day and night for my marriage and my husband it’s been going on for five years, we are members of a church and regular attenders is to the point now where I don’t even want to attend church with him. I feel like I’m setting pretending though I know people recognize the disconnect. Please pray for us and my son.

My sister, I've been struggling with basically the same in different areas. I suggest you read the book The Power of a Praying Wife. It's been changing my mind. It's just a matter of perspective. Keep fighting, God knows the perfect time for the change to take place. Please, read this book ❤

I am in the same place. My husband if almost 39 yrs and 6 kids later just told me he doesn't think he ever loved me and I just don't know if I have it to keep on with living. I will because of my children, but I would love to because my husband cares too.

The amount of absolute fire truth that this man digs up in studying the word is so ultimately necessary for anyone who claims they believe in God. Absolutely amazing.

Well, fortunately, his legacy lives on through his many teachings series. It's a blessing for me to listen to his online radio network called Reformation Network. It's worth the download in the app store of your smartphone. They have an incredible lineup of sound pulpit teachers from Lawson, Gershner, Piper, MacArthur and the late Sproul along with others here and there.

It can be arguably said that R. C, Sproul was to this generation (and even yet is, thanks to technology) the equivalent to Luther in his time. His passion for the Word of God and his teaching of it is among the highest I have experienced in my lifetime of 70 plus years, including a stint as pastor of a Mennonite congregation, one of the core branches of the Reformation, at least until liberal theology grew like a cancer within it. Sproul is so clear in his logic, so persuasive in his arguments, and so in-tune with the Holy Spirit (Who is the true Teacher of the Church - John: 14:26) that anyone giving his lessons and sermons a serious listen will be transformed in his or her understanding of God, Jesus Christ, and that same Holy Spirit. Sproul is a gift of God to the 20th and 21st centuries. Pray that more will hear him, for he speaks the Truth.

Single male in my 30s, never married , no kids. God created marriage before the fall of mankind. We are beyond the fall. Unless you know with certainty that the person you are with is sent from God, remain single. Some of the most Godly men in the Bible remained single, including our savior himself Christ.

Question: If mankind had not eaten of the forbidden fruit, what would be our level of consciousness-how different would our thought processes be? I don't think God intended us to remain in that state of innocence, as He foreknew all things and had already appointed our Christ/Redeemer. It's a hypothetical: what if...?

@Ken Mcaree Well, both Adam and Eve had perfect bodies and health and sex is obviously an important part of marriage. Yet, Eve didn't conceive until they were cast out of the garden. So, it wasn't long at all! Maybe just a matter of days.

Not great optics for RC Sproul to perform the wedding ceremony between RC Jr and a 3x divorced woman, and he did so after Junior's presbytery issued a report saying they couldn't allow it. So RC Jr demitted his ordination and married her anyway. Not exactly a great foundation to lay for an "intimate marriage."

@@crystaladcox7266 One of the biblical requirements for being a minister of the gospel is he "must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient." RC Sproul Jr epitomizes "wild and disobedient." He's a reprobate. That in itself is, as Sam Adams puts it, "Not great optics" for RC Sr. Making things far worse is the fact that RC Sr was the one who propped up his reprobate son in the ministry, paying him a six-figure salary all during the years of his multiple scandals and crimes. A good father loves his children. Love necessitates disciplining our children when they go astray. Tragically RC Sr failed miserably in this. He mollycoddled and even rewarded Junior for his scandalous conduct rather than disciplining his reprobate son. In doing so he only enabled and encouraged Junior in his wickedness. RC Jr is being rewarded to this very day by being paid six-figures by Ligonier as an "independent contractor" courtesy of the Sproul Family Gravy Train and Ligonier's unwitting donors.

@@FledMendota I’m not accusing by the way, I am genuinely curious as I’ve seen a few comments here and there bringing up Sproul Jr. I also just found out he goes to a church local to me, of which from what I understand is definitely not Calvinistic. It’s Arminian in the least.

@@crystaladcox7266 Check out Spinderella Sproul, a blog started by former members of RC Jr's "church" just prior to his defrocking in 2006. RC Jr pled guilty to the many charges and begged to be released from the RPCGA's jurisdiction so he could avoid a pending trial on additional charges. Several days later RC Sr publicly stated the charges against his son (the very same charges RC Jr had pled guilty to) were "fraudulent." RC Jr was then given a six-figure position at Ligonier.
