I think this is the only footage anywhere where he throws a kick. I did Shobushido RYU in PhillyIt's kinda fun doing these techniques on step through punches where the attacker freezes in place. But they kind of do it for the whole workout, most sessions. if you don't do sparring, conditioning and hit targets you won't be as able to deliver them than if you did.

I hope no one was actually doing rolls in the streets, parking lots, clubs etc when it wasn't necessary.

A "true Sensei" is a human being - who must also earn a living, like everyone else. So no one with knowledge is deserving of compensation for teaching what they know? That logic is garbage. Please dismount your high horse and stop being a hater. 🕊
