One of the reasons Kata was developed was so that one could train and work on strikes, blocks and movements without having a partner. Also it's a good way to grow spiritually in your Martial Arts. There is so much more but I'll allow you to discover that for yourself as you continue with your training.

Oh my goodness Professor, Quiet Storm Dojo U all have done an XLNT job with exhibiting the legendary Dr. Moses Powell Sanuces Ryu. Awesome work/flow here. I am proud 2 B a part of this & encouraged further, 2 train harder @ FCMAStudio with Sensei Jackson. Thank U 4 sharing & exhibiting off what we do. I showed my family this is how I train, what I do. Of course my folks were shocked/surprised. I hope 2 become just as good as Sensei Jermaine or U 1 day, impressive & keep up the good work.

I have showed you and your system nothing but respect and I don't put my noise in your business. What I do should not have an affect on you and your school and what you do surely does not affect ours. I don't believe in sounding off on other martial artist, my knowledge and understanding of the Arts is sufficent for me, I don't need nor do I care to put others down in order to lift myself up, I'm lifted by God and my Teacher.

I am a student and representative of Dr. Moses Powell and Sanuces Ryu Jiu Jitsu. If you do your homework you will find that Sanuces Ryu has a direct connection to Vee Jitsu and Grand Professor Vee who is Dr. Moses Powell's teacher and He is also the teacher of Kenn Brown (Kadeem) and Rober Evans, which makes us somewhat family members.

On Human Weapon, they showed a slow form of kata, for Muy Thai. True, you have shadow-boxing, but kata is more of a structured exercise, sort of a "video collection" of the art.

I have no complaints. Martial Artist can be their own worst critic. Every hear or see a Dr or Lawyer degrade a collegue? I loved the video. My favorite was the Teen in white. He looked like a incarnate of Dr. Powell. You see kids too lazy to get off sofa these days. Best of luck and many thanks for the inspiring production--Quite Storm.

A kata to a martial artist is like practicing scales for a guitarist. Fights would never happen in sequence like it does in kata, just like a guitar solo would never go C,D E,F,G,A,B,C... Kata's allow you to practice the movements so that your body becomes accustomed to the dexterity, speed and focus necessary for fighting just like scales make a guitarists fingers nimble. Once memorize you fine tune making them faster, efficient, powerful. Katas shouldn't be fancy but brutal fighting practices

Thank you for viewing our video and for your comments. I usually don't respond to comments made on the video, however i will take this time too shine light on darkness.

He is pure sanuces not VSK he doesnt teach Veejitsu he teaches sanuces and 1-24 and veejitsu te's are not his to teach. He said they are his to teach. We do not teach the PIA's and my teachers also did sanuces. I have love for sanuces and all martial arts i also believe in fighting on every level whether there are or arent any rules. Veejitsu doesnt only base its self on the premise of self defense. It is also an offensive style. Sanuces was created and represented by fighters on all levels.

BKTFA ok so why would he say "Tournaments and competition are for kids & under belts not men" this would imply that Moses, Lumumba and Lil John were underbelts. come on brother Bottom line is that Sanuces is sanuces and VeeJitsu is VeeJitsu both great arts and Sanuces was created by a Veejitsuka but has its own plot in which it stands. No disrespect to the system its just it is what it is. Similarities are one thing, curriculum is another.

The Vee jitsu Te's 1-24 and the variation that come with them also Sanuces Ryu short forms 1-8, long forms 1-5 and the Sanuces PIA's 1-9, are mine to show or teach. In this family of Jiu Jitsu you have NO Power or Authority to tell me what to teach or show.

The history of Veejitsu and Sanuces represents fighting from Moses to Lumumba to lil John they all fought at tournaments and were all VeeJitsukas first your main reps are Veejitsukas both Lumumba and Lil John. If you all dont fight check you history Sanuces and VeeJitsu are known for fighting. WE FIGHT! we represent our history. Show me were Prof Vee or Moses wrote that Veejitsu Te or 1-24 is in Sanuces..... ITS NOT! bottom line.

Kids ask me why we practice them over and over, and why its important to practice them hard and broken into sequences...I often have to use this analogy. I get disappointed when a students katas are weak, and uninspired...its just like hearing a student play a scale on a guitar with bad strings, out of tune, and poor timing...its awful!
