Does it do it reliably though is the thing 😂. Have to respect both cars I mean the Bugatti was built for that but I would rather show more love to something I can actually afford. So the colt in my eyes was the obvious winner for the amount of speed I get😂

what i like the most about it, is that it doesnt even sound as dramatic as 978hp...which makes it even more of an underdog! love it

Sick little car! The guy driving is a mad-man! Congrats on that build. I can't even understand how those internals, trans, clutch, head gasket anything hold up to that kind of punishment! would love to see it run the 1/4 mile.

Better than your golf mk2, more top speed and it seems to be more stable in the acceleration. Please don't take this personal, but mitsubishi makes better engines that vw

ayrton990 Yup, 4g63 I believe is the fastest 2.0 4 cylinder mass production motor made.. There are guys in the 6 second quarter mile, 1600+ HP range

be sure,but only for 5 minutes in a race if not less.After 5 minutes the GTR is still capable to continue the race and finish it because the engine will not blow.

Jörg P But rebuilding the Colt engine costs probably far less than doing a single service on the Veyron. I saw a a TV show where they did a service on a Veyron, all the bolts on the engine are made from high-spec titanium and can be used only once. Price for replacing the bolts was about US-$ 20.000,- ! I think a Bugatti is about the image first (not everyone can afford one) and performance second.

RHOKiT And they are the fastest at accelerating either. Jörg P The 4g63 is far far more durable then people think. There's lots of 700-900 hp 4g63s that are daily driven and have 30,000 miles on them.

People don't necessarily buy Bugattis because they're fast but more as a status symbol. The Bugatti is waaaay more expensive than this Colt.

brian c brian c Try putting 49Lbs of boost through a Turbo without major work being done to the block first and you'd be asking for trouble. Its not as easy as just straping on a huge Turbo to make huge HP changes. Personally I think its amazing that people in the know can get stupid amounts of HP from a 2L four banger. If you were a real car guy you should be able to appreciate anything with 4 wheels aslong as it goes fast, i know I do.

Leeroy Jones I didn't say it's simple bolt ons.. I do appreciate the video just pointing out yes a 2L will out perform a bigger engine with a ton of help.. my little 4.6 on motor ( bigger displacement.) Will out do it with less boost .. I can reach 900whp with under 25lbs of boost and way less money.. With that said there really is no replacement for displacement..

I have a Plymouth champ which is an older us variant of the Colt and I'm about to do a 4g61T swap and I'm super excited cause I already have an adapter for the transmission so I can keep my twin stick trans, which I've had rebuilt to handle the power it will be receiving
it's not COLT it is a NUKE !!! Awesome car
