Would love to see a video of you using it practically in order to create something quick. Would probably also help show its true potential with a practical example

Just bought it and am thrilled with how easy it is to make simple but slightly wonky shapes, more organic, less hard surface. For an illustrator, this is the best tool ever! I have all the other add ons you mention but honestly they are more complex than what I need for quick concepting of 3d shapes to drop into a Photoshop file. Especially good for children's illustration. Thank you!!

@@ALKSNDR I do have a quick question. . . on the last part of the demo, after drawing a new shape and using W to draw a shape, then CTLR E to divide it into two shapes, for me it automatically deletes the main shape and only keeps the new part I have cut. Can you point me to a setting I must have enabled somewhere? 2.8, Mac OS current. Thanks!

@@ALKSNDR No problem! Thanks for even responding. I have tried a few different settings and am not able to stop it from deleting the shape. I'll keep playing with it. Definitely could be a mac vs windows problem.

@@ALKSNDR Well, I made it work after all! I had to reset everything so probably had something to do with preferences I set up for other add ons. If I figure out what it was specifically, I will let you know. But being able to cut out an organic looking shape in one swipe and have it be a separate object is just brilliant! Thank you again! I haven't felt this happy since, well, can't remember. :)

This has a bright future! Please keep improving this tool, once the sculpt features merges to master this can explode!!!

*Loving the look of this.* Before I hit the buy button, just wanted to ask a quick question / suggestion. Thanks for any help / reply. Oh and I saw a comment about "snapping" below. But wasn't sure if that post was the same as my inquiry. Question-- Is there, or will you be adding the ability to "draw snap, to another mesh. So a streamlined version of shrink-wrap. But with all the bells and whistles of "QuickDraw." For drawing / creating sci-fi/fantasy armour directly onto character models?

Looks cool, but I saw a concerning amount of custom hotkeys used. Are they all contained within the context of the tool, or will the addon add tons of it's own hotkeys into user preferences keymap overriding and messing up existing ones?

The addon has a lot of really nice features. Thanks for that! :) I have some questions, though: 1. The tuber hotkey doesn't work for me. If I hit "B", I only get the box select. Do I have to unbind box select for it to work? 2. Is it possible to reset the options? For example, if I cut away a simplified curve, but next time I want to do a higher resolution cut? 3. Is it possible to disable automatic orthographic perspective?

I have one more thing to ask, if you don't mind .. Do you think it would be possible to create a "Tuber modifier"? So that you can paint your stuff with grease pencil and it automatically converts it to bevel tubes? Would be super convenient for frame-to-frame animations, for example.

Hey have you thought of building tools for grease pencil to work like a 3d sketch, I have some ideas, I can write you in full detail

I really like your quickdraw addon, I am a designer and my work flow involves sketches, but blender doesn't adequately have tools for sketching in 3D, in the sense that I could draw a line and then move in 3D but that's soo horrible in grease pencil, what I propose is an better support/ addon that could be a replacement for gravity sketch

Hello! I just bought your plugin = it's all super awesome as far as I can test it :) I just get an error whenever I press Ctrl+W coming from the operators.py line 463, so can't use it. Apparently I'm the only one with that issue? I reset my whole Blender with factory setting to make sure...do you have a hint as to what this error could be? Thanks!

Hi Aleksandr, Thanks for this great addon, i'm coming from 3d coat and it's really helpful to have all these function Inside blender. I have some issue with the hud at the Bottom. I'm in the rare case witch it stay up indefinitely. Closing and opening Blender DON'T fixes this problem :( The second and most important issue is that i don't have the drawsub panel like the video (8"). I can't use directly the ctrl+shift+D shortcut (Don't work), i have too press D to enter in edit mode and press alt+Left mouse too substract for example. Any drawsub panel appear. I try it on blender 2.8 and 2.81 (i have downloaded the v3 for 2.81). If you have an idea…. thx

@@ALKSNDR Thanks for your quick answer. Get back to the factory setting have fixed the HUD issue. I didn't see that there is already v2 and v3 tutorial. I saw this vidéo first and it's more clear that the second one...so i stay here :) I must training to use all the feature (the patch !) but it's ok now. Only one question, the quickdraw panel witch appear on this vidéo had totally disappear in the v3?

would be nice to see a demo or time lapse to show how you use it .Because for now i don't see anything that you cannot do with hard ops box cutter ( draw ngons ) ,i'm not saying that it's bad or anything , i'm considering to buy it but i'm not convinced yet . In any case good job for creating this addon.

@@ALKSNDR gotcha , i understand your point , it's already awesome to combine drawing and modeling and thank you for the hard work , i wonder if it would work with curvy surface , ike you draw two storkes and it creates more roundish curved surface , did you try ? thanks man for the answer keep the good work :)

@@ALKSNDR yea, allready baught these, but theres not quick draw :/ also just finished the videos on gumroad from Jama Jurabaev (ur partner) i know now how to use grease pencile and how to turn it into curves and mesh but id really like to have the features shown in this video. is all of that possible in quick curve and quick shape`? either way amazing addons and i dont understan why its not more popular...

@@bUildYT QuickShape and QuickCurve replace QuickDraw. Grease pencil is cool but since you are turning it into a mesh or a curve anyways it makes sense to just draw it as a mesh or curve right away! I originally built out Jama's workflow as the grease pencil thing because i just didn't know enough to make my own drawing system, once I did we both agreed that it makes sense to skip the GP part and go to mesh directly Thank you for the kind words :)

The purpose of a good tut or demo is to show in detail, not too fast, every action you do on screen. It's not a way of showing off how fast you are on clicking on things we don't have time to learn or understand! Be nice: take your time, make a real tuto or demo.
