Why do you set your powerlevels to minimum? I own 4 PSM900 and used 100mW up to now without issues.

Great question, Tobias! I'm sure with just 4 channels you would be completely fine. I've found that when using many channels of IEMS & Inputs, it's neccessary to keep RF levels low to keep the RF noise floor low. 10mW is quite a bit of power when only needing less than 100' of range. With transmitters (packs and sticks) set to high power, battery life suffers and no real benefit with regards to range and reception. Just my .02c!

@@NicholasRadina Thank you! I'll try that soon!
What is your recommendation for UR4D output level.. mic or line into a Digico SD rack.

Great question! I think LINE is always best! Lowest noise and least amount of additional preamp gain from the console. Thanks!

@@NicholasRadina when we use it in line mode the hand held mics are very sensitive and pick up a lot of ambient noise. Do you have any preferred gain on the handheld when using Beta87 A/C capsule or SE V7 Capsule ?

@@cephaswesley7684yes, line mode will be much hotter than mic. Best to reduce e your console preamp gain. You also should check the gain on the hand held. Look at the receiver audio level to confirm you are not too hot.

@@cephaswesley7684 you’re welcome! Honestly depends on the capsule. Usually lower gain is best. Just keep an eye on your audio receive level at the receiver. Remember gain before feedback…
