Smart with the solar option! I really like how bright those LED flood lights are. I have one above my back door, bit it is hard-wired. Thanks for sharing.

Great video. I recently bought one and may use stronger screws as well. Will install on a wooden shed so will cross my fingers

@@AlleyPicked I ended up just using the screws and anchors it came with. Time will tell. Love it so far

Question-what happens if you drill directly on the vinyl part of the house?…(i.e the folds)

Not much. You just want to be sure no moisture gets in.You can use a rubber washer around the screw or a little caulk. It probably wont get in anyway, but just in case.

@@AlleyPicked Wow, thanks for the quick response! I’m a total newbie when it comes to this stuff, but I’m trying to do this for my parent’s house lol. Just wanted to make sure I’m not risking electrocuting myself haha. Also one more thing (I have the exact same model light btw): How far do you need to hammer in the wall plugs (the plastic pieces that hold the nails)? All the way in, or just until their “arms” get through? Oh and lastly, do you think I can get away with punching a hole using an electric screwdriver?…Or will I need to borrow my neighbor’s drill? Thanks!

@CelestialKnight23 The light should be mounted using screws. It nails. If you are screwing directly into wood you will not need the plastic wall plugs. I would drill a hole through the siding. Of you screw right through it, it might Crack. Hope this makes sense.

Unless you can easily get to the battery it is probably sealed in and cannot be replaced easily. Probably better to get a new one.

I bought one of these to light my 12 ft gate as it opens or closes. It works fine for people and dogs just not my gate, ANYONE know why?

LOL! Saw those comments and "had to" crack up a bit. Lived in Alaska for 26+years and I'm STILL not a fan of the "white stuff". PFF! I no longer live there and I admit that it's nice to look out the window these days and see...ohh...I dunno...LAWN. SIDEWALK. GRAVEL. ASPHALT. Hehe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Oh. In fairness, we DID have a snowstorm back in December. It didn't last long, though. Was odd this year to call up to Alaska and hear, "Oh, yeah! We've had about 8" or so since about the second week of September!") It was about a month early. First time since 1992.

@@AlleyPicked The keyword in that response is "MAYBE". Then again, personally I'd lean toward the negative on that one and say, "Maybe not." Hehe!
