My favorite soundtrack. I tell Alexa to play Fun in Acapulco quite often. Love some of the outtakes especially the one where Elvis sings all the words of the song Mexico take 7 and the fast version of I Think I’m Going to Like It Here take 16. Favorite songs are Fun in Acapulco, Mexico, I Think I’m going to Like It Here, Bossa Nova Baby and You Can’t Say No in Acapulco. Also, particularly like the Bonus song Love Me Tonight. I bought all those FTD issues.

I think I was very fortunate to hear almost every Soundtrack like this one before seeing the movie. When I'd watch the movie I'd wait to see how they were going to work the song in. This is One of my favorite Soundtracks. I'm trying to make my way to the event, it's a matter of creatively dissing my day job..lol

I lost my entire Elvis CD collection years ago so I'm slowly trying to rebuild my collection. For me getting the FTD classic albums is a must. It just brings back so much memories and such great nostalgia.

My mom bought me this in 1967, it was my 2nd Elvis album in collection...Kinda like Elvis meets Tijuana Brass

Great video and a great album, one of my favorite soundtracks. I agree that with the Sessions, this release pretty much makes it obsolete. As John mentioned, I like seeing it on my shelf! I have all the FTD CD releases, so I can’t part with it! 😄

Thanks, Mark! Yeah, these are very cool to look at, even if they are a bit obsolete now - they're great for fans who want samples, but not absolutely everything. 😁

Oh, ofc, I own all the FTD classic albums and all the soundtracks as well. This one actually, for me, still holds up well, but I must admit, I still like and enjoy the Double Features CD’s of the soundtrack albums too. I really haven’t done an A/B next to the FTD sessions box, but what I have heard sounds good to. 😊

Very cool, Frankie! And share your thoughts when you A/B them, as I do think the sessions set is much better.

I agree, Frankie. I have all the Double Features CDs (I think they have a unique sound), but I don't plan to part with any of them. They are collectibles, just like all the past FTDs are collectibles.

@@Allen-vl7zq Oh absolutely 💯 agree, from what I understand, they went back to the 3 track masters and remixed many of the soundtracks, which I think, sounds wonderful, except for the fact that a lil too much compression and noise reduction was used in the process. I can live with that. 😊

Just to give people the Heads Up on Elvis FTD classic albums. Jamie there was a fire two years ago at the European manufacturing plant where the FTD's are made. Most of the back catalogue was destroyed and a reprint of those is highly unlikely. Jamie I would keep the classic album's series as they are now quite expensive to replace, and as for the "Fun In Acapulco" sessions box: those are the best recordings we will ever get of it. For the reason's given, the FTD CD's are now irreplaceable and should be kept by everyone that has them. Stay safe and go well.

One of the best sounding soundtracks for sure with Elvis in great voice, compared to this Roustabout sounds like its two generations down from the master.
