RB promotes these skates as cross fitness skates NOT urban. The RB twister edge is the urban version, which has additional protection for falls such as the one you experienced. Nice review!

Thanks! 😉👍I feel like it can be for both and more... this link is from the Rollerblade website....www.rollerblade.com/usa/products/maxxum-edge-125-3wd/?gp=15630&cp=15622 MOLDED SUPPORT, VERSATILE, RESPONSIVE Maxxum Edge 125 3WD blends speed, support and durability to be the pinnacle of versatility for molded skates. It is great for leisure skates, city skates and intense training. In fact, this model is very popular with Rollerblade's Skate to Ski program which educates athletes about the benefits of using inline skates during the off season. @@jamesbond6687 I agree any skate could be used as an urban skate if you can handle the frame size. At 11.6 inches it sits outside the typical urban 125 mm skate but less than say a marathon frame. Your skill level allows you to handle a wider variety of skates for urban application. However, I would not recommend this frame size for a beginner and probably not even many intermediate urban skaters. It is an awesome boot and I have skated a wide variety of frames on it. Well worth the purchase!

Thank you for this video. Jumping with taller skates is what I wanted to know because of high center of gravity. Tallest I've ever ran was 90 I think? I love your videos 🥰

Heya :D thanks for this kind of review. I really liked your vid. But I have a question. What do you think about the "TWISTER EDGE 110 3WD" ? Did you ever have the chance to compare those 2 pairs? I am on the verge of buying either one of those two, and i am absolutely not sure which one to get. My biggest concern about the 125 in relation to the edge is the agility and ability to make sharp movements, or are those doubts unreasonable? :)

I popped the buckle on my Maxxum Xt. I was so scared that I had broken them. Luckily the buckle still works....even if it is scratched up.

Nice! I hope you were able to replace the side protector that looked like it came off in the fall. I always said that I would never go as bit as 125mm. But this review is making me realize I should never say never...

Ah, now I can see those are air vents and not a missing side protector! I looked at some pics of the Maxuum 125. So the skate is all good! Sorry about that oversight on my part.

It's too bad the Maxxum doesn't fit me. I wear a US 12 wide. Tried the 13/13.5 XT and it was still incredibly tight. Very nice boot, but I have to stay with my RB.

  • @BalaHormiga

The sizing is identical to the RB twister edge. It is the same basic boot shell with some modifications to the buckle, liner and ventilation. I generally wear a size 40 , size 7.5 but preferred the size 8 which is a 40.5.

Hey, what kind of socks do you use in those? Got a pair, right fit, but I got bad ankle blisters after first session. I read its normal as its one of my first session of the year and my skin might not be hardened enough. But I plan long distances with these skates, so I want to have the best setup for preventing injuries. Thanks!

@@jamesbond6687 yeah it's for skaters like my brother - he is really good skater but doesn't like to push himself too much (a bit lazy for training) so he almost never falls. His 10+ years old Seba Fr1 is in better condition thn my 4 months old Imperials.

  • @BalaHormiga

@@MicaelAlastor I can relate to that! I skate mostly trails and my idea of urban is more "suburban" not nearly what you would encounter in city skating. I plan on doing more "urban-city skating" next year. So probably more like your brother! LOL
