    Not everyone lives in the USA. Not everyone has good access to full replacement parts. They just make do with what they have. In many countries paying the extra labor cost is far cheaper than the cost of importing new parts. Also many cultures have a more conservative repair or rebuild ideology. They don't buy all new pieces if the old ones can be saved with a couple tools and a little know how.

    Тоже самое, на месте засверлил, удалил легко остатки, выбил из конуса и поменял, на две шаровые обычно уходит минут 25-30, если не торопиться и делать аккуратно

    Ну для этого метода нужно снимать рычаг, а это лишняя работа, срезать, или высверлить можно не снимая, а ещё есть такая приблуда - пневмозубило, очень полезная вещь на любом сто.

    I have never been a fan of some of the replacement hardware they give you with the replacement, by that i mean i have had just straight nut and bolt before not even so much as a nyloc nut and im not the biggest fan of them even, that was not on all kit's tho only some.

    Complete control arms are pretty cheap Now, and it will come with the bushings usually !!! Price them out 💯😃👍

    You can air hammer them off in 10 seconds, but I have to say that this is a cool way of doing it if you dont have access to other means.

    Idk man those ones on 2000 Chevy trucks took an act of god to get out. Air hammer took the tops off but they wouldn’t move when trying to hammer them out. legit had to drill a 1/2in hole almost all the way thru before they moved and when they did it took a good 30+ seconds for them to come all the way out.

    @cheeseo9798 well, all I can say is I have been using a chisel and air hammer for 25 years professionally, never failed. Just air hammer at the base of the head and they sheer right off. And then a punch type air hammer bit to punch the rivet out. I'm sure some rust in like no other. I like in ND/MN and we have rust here. But still has not stopped me from getting them out. Not that it really matters, the job got done. But as a mechanic, anything that is faster save us techs time and money.

    Good job guys. Question to the channel: Hello there I love when people do it this way. There’s usually more than just one way of doing things. This way I like and recommend it to many people and shops. So my question is you use a ball and a press way all the time or only recently? Don’t recall exactly but it is possible I commented on your video before describing this methodology here some time ago? Let me know if you seen it done this way or told by someone else please. I’m pretty sure I am the one that told you this trick. 😊😊

    ​@@oriolun how is that? Those are gm control arms. They arent usa made. Just replace the whole arm. Many websites sell them cheap. Also gets you new bushings in the arm.

    C’mon people don’t you think that not all people have the money to splurge around. When other items are ok like rest of all those bushings and control arm itself not bent or anything are still in good shape. It’s not necessary to replace a whole assembly. This is normal and usual practice for most of the world where there is no wealthy Americans that would tell them what to do and how to spend their money. If you want them to replace control arm. Then you can offer to pay for the part and the shop that will charge more for a bit more work. Especially if something or everything else is seized.

    This isn’t a thing because the life of the joint is the fatigue life of the arm. That’s why they are rivets and not bolts.

    @@opelservicekyiv реально лучше. И в случае не так отстреливает в сторону, и заклепку выдавливает полностью, не надо добивать остатки. Шариком разве что сорвать легче, тут да, шарик выигрывает.
