I have been using this kit for a few months now. I'm having some trouble with the solid colors looking speckled. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I've watched several videos and have followed the same steps.

Hey babe, I have this same kit, I also love the cream soda color and I’m literally wearing it right now! But I didn’t have any luck with the liquids... the base dried way too fast and the powder wouldn’t stick... so I’m wondering if it’s just me... am I too slow? I’m a perfectionist and I like to let the liquid level out before dipping immediately into the powder, but by the time I’d dip, the liquid would be mostly dry and the powder just didn’t adhere... I have been using model ones dip liquid and I like it a lot, I have 5 colors from ASP dip powder and they work great with the model ones liquids... I was just curious if anyone else out there had this issue? I do use the primer that came in the kit, and the activator would probably also work with another brand of base... but I was kinda upset i spent $40 on the kit when the individual powders were $5 🤦🏽‍♀️ so yeah... if you see this, let me know if you’ve ever had this issue specifically with this base liquid. Also, the best base I’ve ever used is from Virgo & Gem. It’s nice and thin, but doesn’t flood your cuticles, it levels out nicely and doesn’t dry too fast so you have time for nail art/glitter/ombré designs. Just thought I’d mention my favorite brand of dip liquids in case you decide to keep doing dip. I’ve grown my natural nails out using dip powder and I love it. They look just like an acrylic overlay and last at least 2 weeks even with me working in a restaurant constant washing my hands and banging them on everything lol. Anyways good luck my cream soda twin!

No, I can't say that I have. I tend to dip right away. I didn't even think about letting it level first, I've never noticed it not come out smooth either though. I'm not so much a perfectionist though. I used this system even with other powders I have and still love it. Maybe next time I'll try that out and see if that happens.
