I can't get enough of your videos. I have just discovered the junk journal world. Made my first journal for my daughter who will be having a baby in September. You make it look so easy. I was surprised how many hours it took me to complete the journal. I made almost everything by hand and a few download images. With all the work, I was excited to start each day. I was concerned she would not enjoy the journal because it isn't for everyone. When she opened the gift, she cried.. Touched my heart! Thank you for your inspirational videos, you have no idea how they have changed lives.

Every time I watch one of your videos I head straight to my craft room to play because the inspiration you project is too much to resist. Love how you tied your color scheme together for a cohesive look. The black and white bakers twine used for binding the journal coordinates with the inside fabric, and the neon pink paper matches the pink chalk marker circles. Very smart Barbara!

Your videos are eye/ear candies 😊. 27:0 Your selection of pages started a new obsession in me. 12 modest neutrals and 1 LOUD pink. Love that! And also the circles on the fabric. I recently learned to draw with small plastic bottles with needle tips from amazon filled with acrylic pains (I fill them with the help of a fragment of a paper straw). With that I’ll be able to doodle-design my own fun fabrics for junk journal covers. Thanks!!

I love this! It is so cheerful and fun. For the cover you could do fake stitching, draw on stitches using an embossing pen and then use your embossing powder to make raised lines to look like stitches.

Have you thought about digital Happy Mail for those who want to make something for you but don't want to share on social media? They could take photos & email you. You can keep in a file to look at when you need a Happy Mail boost or print out your favourites to pop in your planner. I don't send Happy Mail but was just thinking about people who receive it & can understand how overwhelming it would get. 🙂

Thanks so much! This has given me ideas for a different way to use fabric in journal covers. I’ve been wanting to create a travel journal for a trip of a lifetime I’m taking next March/April. By using a large envelope, I’ll be able to store ephemera from the trip inside the envelope while I’m traveling without it getting lost.

Oh honey!! I started drawing circles with my finger on your inside cover before you did!! LOVE what you've done!! Someone loves you a lot to decorate that envelope that way!! While I think of it, have you ever done a vid on the faux handwriting you do? I've tried and tried but don't feel like it looks right. ...hints? LOL, "... it'll be FINE! It's a JUNK JOURNAL"! What about scanning the part that you wanted to sew in front as you would a digital, print it out and sew the area that you wanted and then cut it out and lay it right over the exact area? It could even be a tuck spot.

Cool envelope 😎so much to see. I remember doing them like this as a child exchanging letters with my cousin, shame I forgot. Aw we understand sweetie. I have drawings from my Granddaughter I could use! Fixatives make everything dark, it annoys me 😄. Oh 'transparent ' did that to me on black too. Lol I keep my strips too. Lol I'm not strong enough to tear 😄 I fray. I love those paper clips😍. It looks fab 😍 reminds me of the 80's for some reason. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

So beautiful and so much fun 😍😍 to can stitch the circle on cover, check your sewing machine usually there’s the storage part when it’s removed supposed to use the thin part to sew sleeves, the envelope looks flexible and wider I believe you can do that 😅

What country do you live in? I'm in Canada and buy online from an American store that has lots of Tim holtz, Seth apter, and Marcia fabrics. It's called My favorite quit store

@@tricias1 Hi. I live in South Africa. We are way behind when it comes to things like craft supplies. We do have an online shop that orders supplies from the US, but it is limited to the most popular items and it takes up to 4 months for delivery because they only import the items after they've received payment and then the items come by ship!! To order it privately from overseas is unbelievably expensive due to the shipping costs (by air). It's one of the down sides of living in a developing country 😔, but we just have to learn to live with it 😀
