Now this is how you spar! No ego! No power! Just practicing speed and precision. Really nice work.

@@garryjones1776 My guy that literally is what sparring is or is supposed to be. You hit each other hard enough that's pretty much fighting.

@@johnsmith6503 sorry mate, if you have no need for any kind of protection as your opponent only touches you (and I don't mean as in pop on in a face, literally touching) I can only see this as playing (like father plays with his toddler). I draw the line on hard sparring, light sparring and playing. Done them all. To me this is just playing. In hard sparring you can have bloody nose, on light sparring there could be stinging on the nose, playing means opponents only touches you. Just my opinion, however many gyms I've been to only practice playing, which is kind of frustraining cause my mate went for in competition on local level. Broken nose split eyebrow and got tko'ed. Told me he thought practice light sparring (which was in fact playing) would prevent him from CTE, and due to that he more than likely got CTE due to inability to defend himself with opponent going all out.

Technical sparring is good, but there are also times for hard sparring

I really want to learn how to spar like that. We would always spar very differently (and harder) and it always ended up in injury. One time I got kicked hard in my diaphragm and got the wind knocked out of me. I have not sparred since that happened. Sparring still seems incredibily important and fun to me though, but it would have to be more like this. Thing is, I dont know how to actually do this properly.

Learning through playing is the best way. Repeat the techniques over and over and just have fun doing it.
