They added a character that wasn't in the book, and changed the gender of another. They could have made Quelliot endgame. Cowards... the lot of them.

Funny thing is they probably have the best relationship on the show and have shared a lot of actual moments together. You can see that there is genuine love between them.

Yeah, unconditional love. They genuinely are happy just to be in eachothers lives, and make eachother happier and better as people. And the messed up thing is, they both are so broken, but they're happy and stable TOGETHER. The writers of this show are absolute cowards for killing one off, instead of just allowing them to be together.

I'm so upset with what the writers did. I had years invested in this, I genuinely cared, I dont know how to explain to straight people how painful it is to see any kind of representation of yourself on screen die over and over and over again. It hurts, growing up the repeated storylines of it ending in death, suicide, cheating etc has done so much damage to me, my psyche and really how I perceived relationships as a closeted teenager that I dont know if I'll ever undo. I love this couple, their chemistry and this edit is magnificent but I just needed to share it Haha because it's like watching myself die over and over and I know positive storylines do exist but no where near enough for the representation we do have to not damage people and especially younger people whom are still in the closet.

As a gay chick, I 100% understand. Not only does one or both of them either always die or it turns negative or toxic really fast. But gay or LGBT characters are always ALWAYS used as either comedic relief or just for shock value. Not only is it massively damaging, but it's genuinely just tiring. What's worse, is even the gay movies, with gay couples that are suppose to be "for us" the relationships portrayed or either really horrible, or they end horribly. So far I've only seen very VERY few portrayals that are worth anything at all, and are mentally/emotionally healing. If you haven't seen The Old Guard yet, you really should. Joe and Nicky will heal you, just a bit.

Pretty sure they didn't really have a choice but to kill quentin off because the actor wanted out. They Def need to do better on a larger scale but this one pretty sure was forced by the actor. Me and mate invested way too much in these two being us though lol

Small? lol. I couldnt stand alice the moment i saw her...she is such a whiner baby. I love Eliot the moment i saw him. And while Quentin is fairly annoying himself, hes a main character,...and while i thought he was straight (ive only seen season 1...then life got in the way...sooo)...but after seeing this vid, i know 2 things: 1)i need to watch this show the moment i get free time; 2)they better end up together.

Yes. It takes an interesting way of dealing with pain, trauma and other negative emotions. It manages the thin line between sensitive and insensitive really really well. For me it's not as iconic as shows like Game of Thrones or Supernatural or The Walking Dead but it's definitely unique af and in a league of it's own. Also despite Quentin being the 'main character'... he doesn't have some super special power and isn't the best at magic and really isn't special in any way. That is at first glance. But once you get to know his character you realise that his super power isn't an actual power but more along the lines of his belief and his loyalty to his friends and his capacity to love. All the other main characters are badass and awesome as well... from Eliot who's a dork and gay af to Margo who's a total badass and would do absolutely anything for Eliot (and the others to a slightly lesser degree). Don't want to spoil to much but each and every character is easy to relate to and they're all so extraordinary in their own way. I love and watch a lot of shows but I've never connected so effortlessly to all the main characters the way i did to The Magicians mains.

This show is great! It's different but I love it ! It's like Harry Potter,Narnia and Hunger Games all in one with Shadowhunter realm included as well! It's a mash-up of everything!!!!

This ship WRECKED me. I’m still not over it and it’s freaking fiction. I connected with Quentin and Eliot’s relationship on a soul-deep level, and when Jason left the show I refused to watch season 5 for years. I still have 3 episodes left… I don’t know if I’ll ever finish it.

Sim Mallec Yes this is the perfect moment to explore their feelings for each other, since the threesome they haven't talked about it, but something clicked for sure between them. The love and care for each other in season 2? Painful to watch and I've never thought I'd be able to witness this episode.

As someone who hadn't even heard of the books when I started watching the first season, I honestly thought Quinton was going to be gay before he and Alice got together. Of everyone in the cast, other than Julia, he just seemed to have the most chemistry with Elliot. I was actually pretty excited when I thought it was going in that direction. Then he and Alice happened and I was sad. . .

I HAVENT EVEN WATCHED THE EPISODE YET i just seen the thumbnail and woop now i wanna cry so im gonna go watch it before i get more spoiled LOOL but omfg im so excited

I cried like a little baby when they showed their whole life in a few scenes and it was over me when elliot passed away. Gosh this was heartbreaking!!

It’s been some time since that finale so - just wanted to comment letting you know that watching this video is what got me intrigued enough to binge this show. Even with watching this vid, I figured not to expect much and it wasn’t until 4x05 that I was totally sold for this pairing but oh well, I’m glad I got to discover Eliot and Margo regardless of how the writers handled season 4.
