The saddest part is the actors established Aziraphale loved Crowley first, obviously from the very beginning, always assuming they’d just be best friends and playing the role well, but at the end, when it’s CROWLEY finally, finally gives him the love he’s always wanted, KISSES HIM, out of seemingly nowhere after going all their lives without something even close to romance, Aziraphale pushes him away for the people Crowley has always protected him from. “You came through for me… you always do” -Aziraphale PLUS the fact that Crowley let on that being on your own side is lonely, and now he’s really on his own side again with no one. AND he’s basically going to be going up alone against heaven with the second coming(plus probably hell, they usually agree on human destruction), AND of course Aziraphale, who will be RUNNING the entire project! I expect 3 apology dances and an entire season of regret from Aziraphale I feel so bad for Crowley, but now it’s his turn to basically look Aziraphale in the eyes when he’s either asking for forgiveness or something akin, to say “no, and don’t come back”. I know it’s cruel, but I’m a little excited to see Crowley do something for himself just once. Especially with the “you’re the hard bitten one, you’re the can’t ever trust anyone again one”. I’d like to see Aziraphale grovel for what he’s done to Crowley. I know he was excited but he knew, HE KNEW what Crowley would say, would think, and he still disregarded him, and after reading my comment, look at what he did to Crowley. It’s going to take an entire season, if more to fix this. Crowley has done so much, threatened, saved, trusted, only one person his entire life, and you know he wasn’t ready for his only friend, only person he’s ever liked or paid attention to in his entire existence to cause so much damage,the “soft one, still believes in magic, people being good”. It’s like having a pet or loved one you’ve known forever abandoning you for someone who hurt them or kicked the dog. It’s heartbreaking.

I’m not sure Aziraphale realized how strong his feelings for Crowley were until the kiss. He’s spent 6000 years trying to get Crowley reinstated as an angel. He doesn’t understand why Crowley doesn’t want what he considers a precious gift. I believe the separation from Crowley will hurt him far more than he can imagine & something will happen in Heaven to show him just how correct Crowley is about Heaven being toxic. They will find their way back together but both are hurt & will need to find a way to forgive each other.

They both feel rejected right now. Crowley wants Azriaphale to want him *as he is*, not how he can be improved, and Aziraphale wants Crowley to see what they could be *together* in Heaven, if only Crowley could - in his mind - give a little. But the cold machinery of eternity is going to tear Aziraphale apart. Heaven is using him. He's going to have to realize that the person doing the bad thing is the bad guy, even if they have white wings and say they speak for God. It's going to hurt so much to watch. Really, it's brilliant.

It's quite amazingly thought up and extensive, just how much they're dumping on Crowley as a character, like Thor and his dead family and friends. He's seen Aziraphale for what he needs and realizes Aziraphale wants what he can give or improve about it, which can be assumed it's therefore taken as "I'm not good enough in my version of you", and that Crowley will now, unlikely do nothing, or more likely, be going up against Heaven, Hell, because they usually agree on humanity's destruction, AND Aziraphale, and He's going to have to come to terms with now he's alone, walking his own path again. He'll stoicly adjust to it but now he's felt what it's like to not being alone, and it's going to be heartbreaking watching him force his readjustment on himself, even more so when at some point, he's pretty much completed the accepting being alone part again, and Aziraphale will be there again. He'll be waring with what will seem like the obvious and rational option, stay alone, and that part of him that now knows companionship, his heart, and piled beneath the "Aziraphale wants to change him", he's going to try and reconvince himself that going back might just be the exact same as accepting heaven and hell's rules without question, without the "going along as good as you can" because he's seen him Copycat both sides into their friendship, and it'll keep tearing away. I'm excited to see how season 3 will play out.

@@ariaflame-auI don’t know about the metatron wanting to take god’s job, but it’s painfully clear that Aziraphale will be, as you say, his pasty. No one in heaven will accept Aziraphale as supreme arch angel. The metatron’s only purpose was to separate Crowley and Aziraphale because together they are far too powerful. Had Aziraphale refused to go, as he desperately wanted to at the end, he would have put Crowley’s life, if not his as well, in jeopardy by refusing to go. Crowley is a demon that has been cast out of heaven and rejects hell and Aziraphale is an angel who hasn’t been able to cut his ties to heaven (yet!). This is the inevitable conclusion. I don’t see how it could have been avoided. Fortunately, we can trust that they will be reunited forever.

I unironically shed a tear probably because I binged the whole show in two days only after s2 came out and it was an emotional rollercoaster

Same, they do say he was the serpent in the garden, and Lucifer is literally Latin for the light bringer/to bring light (the original name for Venus as the morning star, Lucifer's surname in his crime show) and Crowley said "let there be light" before turning on the stars in the universe/proto star factory, after helping build it with the archangels.

That was absolutely beautiful!

In Neil Gaiman's Master Class, "The Art of Storytelling," Neil mentioned that one of the most common troubles young writers have is shying away from conflict. "There's all of these things you can do in conflict, but you have to allow the conflict to happen. And that is so much of what a plot is." It keeps making us ask "And then what happened?" Did I love the ending of S2? No, I didn't quite enjoy feeling my hopes discorporate from all of the swelling joy that had built up to that moment. But do I love the possibility of Aziraphale and Crowley's conflict becoming the impetus of something greater, whether acted or written? Wahoo to that.

Thank you for this. Thank you for taking us to this place. All this means something. We're thinking we can go back to functioning a bit, but then come across a new video, and we risk slipping back into pain, but we go anyway because the love and pain are so beautiful. Energy flows through our heart chakras and our whole bodies as we connect with the frequencies of the music, as we draw on our own experience of being human and feel for Crowley. We recognize and value his ecperience and wish for it to be overwritten. We want to paste "love" over "forgive." All this recognition of the value of being alive, risking ourselves, all our wishes for healing, coalescing around Crowley and Aziraphale, all this collective love energy we feel is creating something.

Oh! I nearly forgotten. Do u think that the alarm in heaven was because of our former Archangel Crowley? Bc when I first watched the show I thought it was bc of this stupid Jim short for Gabriel, who accidentally took part in their miracle. And now there is another point of view and I'm excited to explore it! Btw I'm sorry if my english is not perfect, because it's not my first language

Thank you🥺❤️‍🩹 About their tiniest miracle: my first thought was that alarm happened only to create a comic effect. But, in the next episodes we find out that 1) this miracle only one of the supreme archangels could've made and 2) metatron while explaining gabriel's fate mentions one supreme archangel has already been overthrown in hell. As we know, Aziraphale is not a supreme archangel, meanwhile Crowley has created a whole nebula. So yeah, I believe, Crowley has been that exact archangel that everyone mentioned :) There's a theory that Crowley is Lucifer, like it a lot

The fact that their miracle was so powerful the angels thought it had to have been the Archangel Gabriel is the reason Metatron offered that job to Azi. Please he knew Crowley would never agree to that, he also knew that he could still manipulate Azi. He forced them apart because together they were too powerful and could be a danger to heaven and all their plans.

I've seen the theory on that Azi lied to Crowley in that scene telling him that Heaven wants him (Crowley) back. The point was that Metatron didn't give Aziraphale any possibility of choice but go to Heaven, and Azi decided to turn Crowley against himself by telling him things to, well, break his heart, so that Crowley wouldn't go after him. This theory has its drawbacks, but it seems pretty consistent to me :)
