So incredible! I saw them at a 16 year old back in the 80's opening for KISS at the Spectrum in Pennsylvania and was entirely enthralled thereafter. They were known as the "thinking man's metal." Keep on rocking (check out Kamelot, Circus Maximus, and TNT if you are so inclined.) :)

I personally think that they gave Seattle a bad name. Jimi Hendrix was good, heart was good, and all of the Seattle bands all the early 90s, better known as grunge, or great! I thought Queensreich were boring! I did like the "Operstion Mindcrime" album. It was really good, but adide from that...too Heavy Metal starting out, and too boring from "Empire" on up.

As one of the biggest Queensryche fans over the years, I couldn't agree more! I got here over the course of connecting dots on many recent artists and came across a cover of QotR which brought me to this video. I just so happened to expand the only comment that caught my eye that was 1 year old only to find out Mike posted 4 hours ago about Scott leaving. How does this happen?! Chris, Scott, original Queensryche told an amazing story over the years and I'm honored to have experienced the rise and fall in my lifetime!

I bought this ep at the Record Vault in San Francisco in 83 when I was 12. A guy at the counter took pity on my lost metalhead searching and recommended that I give this a try. Put it in my Walkman ,pushed play as I rode my skateboard down Haight, I was so blown away, I don't even remember getting home, all I remember was this blasting in my ears as the street scenes passed by like a haze....Good times!!!

Queensrÿche Queen Of The Reich Lyrics In the dead of night She'll come and take you away Searing beams of light and thunder Over blackened plains She will find her way Flying high through the night She will hide your fate As she takes your soul from under And the blinding light of the castle fades There is no escape It's the ending of your precious life Your soul slipped away It belongs to the Queen of the Reich The Queen of the Reich Yeah she's coming for you You're fading away Your life cast astray A victim the beast shall obtain The light will not shine For you'll die tonight at her shrine And black is the last thing you'll see Over and over Dreams of dying fill your head It's the sign of the cross That you'll find ahead No one will answer The light is fading away Captive souls are screaming out in pain There is no escape It's the ending of your precious life Your soul slipped away It belongs to the Queen of the Reich You're fading away, No, No, No The Queen of the Reich You're slipping away, yeah The Queen of the Reich

Queensryche Hi Long time fan. I remember recording this video on VHS from MTV's Headbanger's Ball probably late '80's or early '90's. I watched it over and over. I even had the Album on tape cassette. I loved the videos like these. Some of the newer bands are going back to the older theatrical video formats. I had always hoped to see another video that tied in with a continuation of Queen Of The Ryche. Anyway, due to the fact that I had lost my VHS tapes when I became homeless for a few weeks back in 1996, I am so happy to find this video here on KZread. Thanks for the good memories. Keep Rockin'!

There are some pretty good bands out there today, but you have to look to find them. The popular "metal" scene is blah. The vocals all sound exactly the same. The sorry assed tone of the guitars too.

When I was back in high school, KLOS of Los Angeles was giving away tickets to the first 100 callers to Queensryche at the Hollywood Palladium. A few weeks prior, for another concert, I had heard the DJ laughing at one of the winners who used the San Diego phone number to 'sneak' in for a win. So, I figured, what the heck; I dialed the San Diego number probably running up the phone bill for my parents, and voila! I won tickets. I couldn't get the car that night, so a metal head friend with an old 70's Cadillac Coupe de Ville hand me down car was invited, and it was quite the show. If I remember, the opening act was Carmine Appice's King Cobra. Oh, and I got a cassette of one of the albums which was played on the way home in my buddy's car, LOL

+Richard Coffman Haha... that's one of the funniest comments I've seen attached to a KZread video, and I can only imagine it being said with sarcasm. Don't get me wrong; I love Queensryche, and always considered their EP their best album. Maybe because I bought the cassette tape new when it came out, and nothing they did afterward rocked quite as hard (although they still created some amazing stuff). This is one of my favorite Queensryche songs, but the video, although an interesting a window back to a time when MTV actually used to play music instead of completely unrelated television shows, just can't support such an obvious overstatement.

+Richard Coffman everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I must ask...were you on any hallucinogenic drugs when you made this comment? The song is great. Like, really great. It's one of my favorite songs by this band, second only to songs from the "Operation Mindcrime" album. However, this video is complete and total garbage. It's a prime example of why music videos are as irrelevant as they are now. They're irrelevant because they got so far up their own ass, and the creators of them became so desperate to innovate, that they created visual excrement that gets pumped directly into the eye-sockets of everyone who watches videos like this. Let me put it this way. Ever heard of the band "Grim Reaper"? I would put one of their videos on loop for the rest of my life, before this. I came back to this video because I remember watching this vid as a teenager, and thinking it was trash. I wanted to see if I still felt that way. I do.
