@@TabethaAurochs when I saw them Dec 8th they opened with Regular John and also played Mexicola which is my favorite song of all time … I can say it literally was the best night of my life. The only band that can come close to being that good of a live show is Thee Oh Sees

Josh once described Queens of the Stone Age as "Sexy slathered in strange". Hollow and dirty sounds on target as well.

I love how mean and guttural the instrumental is (especially with Dave on the drums) while Josh's vocals are so soft and smooth. Easily one of their best tracks by far!

@@ivanameruoso You know, I felt that way about that record too, but it has really grown on me. It's not their best, but it is not a bad album, and is better than those of many many other bands.

They need to do some type of Queensfest and pick songs off of each album and have the guys that played on those albums play those songs. That would be sweet...

This is my fav lineup because the sum of all the players seems to be this monstrous beast none of them can seem to tame. Everytime I have seen qotsa, Josh seems to have reigned the beast in to do his bidding. With Grohl on drums and Oliveri on Bass and Troy..its just madness and awesome

You realise dave grohl is just everywhere right? Nirvana, QOTSA, Foo Fighters, Tenacious D, the list goes on, he was once in the top 100 triple J list for the year (australian music poll), and he was in 13 of the top 100 songs.

I think it was this video, I grew up hearing and seeing the Queens on MTV and VH1, rediscovering them watching this video in college led me to listening to their 1998 debut for the first time, Regular John, Mexicola, and You Would Know blew my mind

I remember watching this video in like the mid 2000's before KZread existed, I downloaded it off of Napster or limewire back in those days. I wish there was a recording of this entire live show, it was probably incredible.

This song reminds me of that one band Queens of the Stone Age.

The rhythm, the power, the sound, the beat of the drum makes the song really amazing. Its a masterpiece

Imagine the feeling of having that much power at your fingertips. Like literally every note you play makes thousands of people move. So baddass and what a song.

One of the greatest bands of all time live. It's a spiritual journey seeing them in concert.

The energy Dave brings as soon as he hits that first drum fill is ridiculous.

No matter how many times I watch this set the energy is so fucking pulpable. Big bowl of viscous music soup for the soul. RIP Mark.

the moment at 1:46 is indeed special as an amateur musician I can *EASILY* say that there is something about playing live/rehararsing that you just can feel connecting with your bandmates and you just communicate through very subtle mimics, faces, gestures, emphasis on certain notes, HELL even with the notes you play and when you feel like your bandmates just *KNOW* what you are doing and going to do you just become this hive-mind like thingy and work as one and you just cannot even remotely get this feeling if you didn't play with a band irl, hell you can't do this even if you play with a band and you don't like the people you are playing with, I hope everyone playing gutiar can get a taste of this
