probably my favorite performance of this song,especially near the end,when Freddie takes the low note,Roger takes the harmonies to the high end..so damn perfect.

I saw Queen several times beginning in 1975, they were always like this, perfect.

When a song can make you cry your ENTIRE life, it is special and this one makes me cry to this day. You can find something to relate to your life with every Queen song but this soft song has such vulnerability and we should all live our life like this beautiful man, to the fullest, until the very end. Yet another side of Queen that shocks you. Miss you Freddie! 💗

I think you should see the official video of this song, it is chilling!!! Love Queen. Had the honor of seeing Freddie and Queen live 3 times and he is even more powerful and breathtaking in person! I was fortunate enough to see him live the first time, just a few feet from me, so I actually got to hear his voice up close. He went right into my heart and soul! Never stopped being a fan!!

I constantly go between this live version and to one of the two nights at Wembley as a favorite. Righg now this one is my favorite. The whole song is amazing but my favorite part i's when it really gets going. I love it. His voice is amazing here. The whole Budapest concert is great.

The official version of this song is the best in my opinion. You can hear one of the best high notes from Freddie. You can also listen to Brain May singing the first section of this song. It features whole orchestra and choir makes the performance heavenly.

Wow 🥰 beautiful sweet Freddie ❤️ the Highlander movie songs was my first introduction to queen and Freddie when I was a kid 🤩

There’s only two really good live recordings of Who Wants to Live Forever - this one and Wembley 86. I recommend White Queen live at Hammersmith for a similar feel - young Queen at their prime!

There are others good (not oficial) recordings, for example Queen-Live In Mannheim: 6/21/1986. Not sure what Molokoko means by "good reconrding".

I'd recommend Love of My Life from Wembley in 1986. You'll hear not only Freddie's amazing vocals but you'll see his insane crowd control. Freddie's "Time Waits for No One" is stunning. And while it's not like "Who Wants to Live Forever," I love their live version of "Hammer to Fall" and "Don't Stop Me Now" is my go-to song for any occasion.

Okay - once again - Brian May wrote this song.. and started on on keys... moved smoothly to guitar solo.... Roger and John on the drums/bass are flawless... I would say, as recommended below "White Queen" live at Hammersmith - will blow you away with the interplay between Fred's keys/vocals and Brian's guitar -- (song written by Brian) -- I love your interest and comments - please carry on, carry on! :)

Have you listened to Somebody to love live in Montréal you will be blown away

this song is in the movie highlander as is the theme song for the movie princes of the universe

A reaction video don't keep stopping it we can see the reaction talk at the end

Go for Live at Wembley 1986 version - just make sure its the Saturday night version ! I think that one is more powerful.

As others have mentioned, there are really only three good recordings of Who Wants to Live Forever: Both nights at Wembley (especially night 1 imo but no one agrees on this!) and this one. It was only performed during the 1986 Magic Tour (around Europe), as it was a new song at that time, but Freddie was diagnosed only months after the tour with AIDS and wasn’t able to tour with Queen after that. I think you’d enjoy “Save Me” from Montreal, “White Queen” at Hammersmith, “Love of My Life” at Wembley, or “You Take My Breath Away” at Hyde Park if you like slower, beautiful ballad-type songs.

That show was at August 9 at NEP stadium, Budapest, I supose to be there, but unfortunately I wasn't.

This has to be one of my favorite live performances 😊

Brian, who wrote the song, said he's never heard it performed as powerfully as Adam Lambert did it at the Isle of Wright, kzread.info/dash/bejne/lJdho8-pebmwh7A.html in the days after the mass shooting in Orlando, FL. Any of Freddie's other performances are also great, they were all consummate professionals!
