I love that Roger Taylor and the others were so talented… singing and accomplished song writers, but never seemed to mind taking a backseat to Freddy. The band seem to sidestep the ego issues that often take down other groups after a few years.

Freddie said he loved the fact that he could make someone happy, turn a sour face into a smile, and for an hour or two forget about their problems for a while. Freddie was a very kind person, a lovely person. Jim Beach their manager said, Freddie was the shyest and most sweetest man he ever knew, Freddie would completely transform himself on stage and in the studio to be Freddie the Rockstar. Brian is an Astrophysicist, Roger a Biologist, John an Electrical engineer, and Freddie a graphic designer. All highly intelligent.

I’ve seen many live concerts. So many talented artists out there, but when I saw Queen play live at the Masonic Temple in Detroit, it was like a religious experience. I had the hairs on my arm standing straight up. The stage presence of Freddy Mercury was incredible. He owned that audience. That was his Bohemian Rhapsody tour which was mid 1970’s. We were in the presence of greatness and everybody there that night knew it.

Freddie was an amazing incomparable front man. We lost an incredible songwriter, songwriter and entertainer. The remaining members that still wanted to perform are in their 70s now and on their final leg of their European tour. They are doing a live stream I believe running for a week starting on July 24. Roger and Brian are more center stage and Brian is up front on the runway part of the stage the majority of the over 2 hour concert. They even bring a drum kit to the front of the stage and Adam, Brian and Roger are right by the audience. That's when they do Under Pressure and Roger still has an incredible voice. He doesn't sing as high as he used to but he does have a voice I think sounds similar to Bowie. They include Freddie in the show and even before the encore Freddie is on video doing the Ay-Ohs with the crowd. Adam does a great job as front man and has a lot of charisma... Freddie just had a special something.

This is such a great song, said to be one of the best collaborations in rock. This song is a duet and Roger is singing the part that was written for Freddie to sing and Freddie is singing David Bowie's part in this performance. Roger is back there not missing a beat on those drums and holding up half of the song. I often feel that Roger doesn't get the credit he deserves for the amount of vocals he brings to all the Queen songs. Thank you for your reactions, I loved them.

Freddie the best entertainer and possibly best man's voice in music, Stevie Ray tome defo the best guitar player of all time, cheers bro ! ;) And also agree on charisma, I mean I'm a bit older than you guys and back in the late 80's there was still a stigma towards homosexuality (I never had it but there was ) and rumors started that he was homosexual/bisexual but the moment I heard and saw this man I knew he was the best, automatically drawn to him (I'm not homosexual btw) and perhaps people don't think about it today he may have bridged the path to opening up to other people, cause he was almost universally adored, I mean pick old folks from the 60', 70's most people love him and Queen.. Unique is the definition of both Freddie and Queen
