Been addicted to wildlife documentaries since I was 5. Ocean life, jungle life, desert life, arctic life, but the African savanna life has always been my favorite and savage kingdom definitely takes the throne for most intense and probably most well put together wildlife documentaries I ever seen

Not about that life, didn't want the smoke.
One of the main reasons that conflicts between lions can be so violent and deadly is that they often arise due to competition for limited resources, such as food, water, and mating opportunities. When lions are forced to live in smaller areas with fewer resources, this competition can become even more intense, leading to higher levels of aggression and violence.
@Vampirita447

Way to state the obvious lol
@arifsaleem5467

@@Vampirita447 Limited and ever shrinking habitat, historically lions used to roam in three continents, Africa Asia and Europe, now forced to live only in very small semi protected parks in Africa, the option to relocate or retreat isn't available to young males like always, thus more deadly conflicts. That's how I see it.
Savage Kingdom is EPIC. Love watching this.
These lions aren't starving lol 43:50 they've just been pushed out of their area because they have no males and the surrounding prides have encroached into their territory that they can't defend. Lions aren't stupid, they know when to leave an area. These lions will be fine. They are healthy and not looking like they need to eat. If they go like two weeks without food,then it's an issue. Eating every 2-4 days is normal.
These are absolutely awesome shows and the Naritve even better
I’m so happy for satao. Sekekama is a cruel king, but that’s what a king should be to protect his pride. Matsumi is spoiled 😂 but she’s also an amazing leader. The King knew exactly what he was doing. Male lions won't stick around if the females aren't providing food. Yes they hunt on their own but they usually just take the females food/eat what they want. It's the trade off for providing protection but if they aren't producing food,they'll move on. There's also a chance two females were going off abd hunting on their own then retrieving the young ones and not letting the males know. Because with mouths to feed,the last thing they are worried about is getting food for the males. They'll fight the males over the food if that's all they do is take food and bully the pride,females won't put up with it. Who knows why the males left. Maybe they got bored decided to chase food instead. Who knows...
