Queen Esther , also called Hadassah (myrtle) was the first jewish queen of the Persian Empire. She was the wife and the queen of King Xerxes I (aka. King Ahasuerus.
To become His queen she underwent a 12 month beauty treament: 6 months she was oilled in myrrhe oil and the other 6 months she was rubbed with ointments, perfume and spices.
