Queen Mary's crown is beautiful, they are all magnificent, who else lost count of how many there are?

All of Queen's tiaras are lovely. But for me, the most beautiful is Fife. Especially the way the diamonds dangle and dance.

My favourite is Cartier Halo Tiara. Kate looked best in it. Divine.

Can I just say... What you call the George the VI Tiara is misnamed... The Sapphire and Diamond Necklace are indeed part of a parure. A wedding gift from the Queens Father George the VI...BUT. HM The Queen added the Sapphire Tiara herself. This tiara traces back to Princess Louise of Belgium (1858-1924), who was the daughter of King Leopold II and the wife of Prince Ferdinand Philipp of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Originally it was a "converter" with the option of being a Tiara or a Necklace but the Queen had one or two adjustments & had it made into a Tiara only. This purchase was made to fill a "Sapphire" gap in the Tiara selection of The Queen.

PS Newey I am surprised that you didn't catch that the video also called the tiara Diana wore, that Kate now wears, the Cambridge Lover's Knot Tiara despite it actually being Queen Mary's Lover's Knot. Queen Mary loved her grandmother's tiara, which was the Cambridge Lover's Knot Tiara and Mary wanted it but it was passed to her aunt and it was a piece I guess Mary couldn't talk into her collection so she had her own Lover's Knot Tiara fashioned after it

indeed we know there are more...which probably wont be seen in the Queens lifetime... One if not two more Tiaras and other jewels were "returned" possibly "bought back" by HM The Queen from the Children of Princess Margaret who arranged a sale of the Jewels and other items from the estate of their mother Princess Margaret. Jewels that were given to Princess Margret by both her Parents, Queen Elizabeth and King George the VI and her Grandmother Queen Mary. The Persian Turquoise Tiara is one such piece. Part of a Parure of necklace, earing and brooch. It was made around 1900 by Garrard, and was given as a wedding gift from King George the V & Queen Mary to Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, later The Queen Mother in 1923. Then as Queen Elizabeth she eventually gave the parure to her younger daughter, Princess Margaret as a 21st birthday present. This parure was not included in the Sale of Jewels by the children, so one can assume it was returned to the Royal Collection. Time will tell.

@@hotoneinspai some of the tiaras that went to the Snowdons were part of the Royal collection and the QM didn't hand them over the moment her daughter became queen , as should have been done. So H.M. stepped in and yook back what were the RC (palm tiara was one), may have bargained for others and left the Snowdond with hose she felt didn't need adding. Turquoise, we rarely see H.M. wearing it so it bacame the snowdons, unless she purchased it again at auction to help them out. Great comment

I am wondering where they keep the tiaras. Would the royals have their own collection or would they have to arrange in advance for the tiara to be taken from the Crown Jewels collection?!

Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth, Princess Diana and Duchess Catherine did not wear the Cambridge Lover's Knot Tiara, the tiara that is worn by these members of the British royal family is called Queen Mary's Lover's Knot Tiara. Queen Mary's grandmother was the Duchess of Cambridge and she owned the Cambridge Lover's Knot Tiara, Queen Mary loved her grandmother's tiara but when her grandmother passed away it went to Mary's aunt. Eventually Mary had her own lover's knot tiara made that was modeled after her grandmother and aunt's tiara, so the Cambridge Lover's Knot Tiara and Queen Mary's Lover's Knot Tiara are two different tiaras ETA: I like how you added tiaras that the Queen technically owns but doesn't wear like the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik and the Lotus Flower

Wenche.... I loved Catherine in the Lotus too. Its a great "starter" Tiara. And, The Cartier Halo was the perfect Tiara choice for her wedding...just so beautiful, understated yet so densely packed with perfect diamonds, the beauty is in the detail.... Like Catherine herself.

It's kind of fitting that Catherine where's the Lover's knot tiara because it's a tiara that Queen Mary of Teck had commissioned as a replica of the Cambridge tiara. I believe it was Queen Mary of Teck's Aunt who was the Duchess of Cambridge at the time and then the tiara of Cambridge was eventually sold to another European Royal by a family member of the then Duchess of Cambridge.

I know this may be nitpicky. The State Diadem isn't really a 'tiara'... it's really a crown. No one other than a king or queen would wear it. Tiaras can be worn by other married women (or brides), with the sovereign's permission.

Where are all of these tiaras kept? Certainly not in Queen Elizabeth's dresser drawer!

They are kept in Royal Vault in the Tower of London, guarded by a combination of British Army soldiers and the Yeoman of the Guard. This is where the Crown Jewels are also kept and is practically impenetrable. Although there have been a (very) few occasions over its 950-year history where someone has got into one of the outer gates, no one has ever got as far as the vaults. The guns the soldiers carry are not for decoration, they are loaded with live bullets.

One thing though is the tiara we know as the Cambridge Lovers Knot is NOT THAT TIARA That’s Queen Mary’s Lovers Knot which she directly replicated for herself because she saw the Cambridge Lovers Knot on the head of another royal

I know anytime at Sierra gets out of the o Royal collection, The crown sometimes buys it back from Sotheby's or whoever's been sold in the auction.

Caroline... To be fair there are a number shown here that H M The Queen has never worn, or only worn once at least as far as we know, she certainly has never been seen wearing some of them. It is well known that The British Royal Jewel collection is arguably the largest & its defiantly the most valuable Royal Jewel collection in Europe and possibly the World. Tiara wearing occasions, sadly, are getting fewer and fewer. But, maybe this will change in time.

My remark of Meghan Markle "giving up The Crown" I meant, she "Gave up The Tiara" meaning as a Working Royal and Losing her HRH Status. Of course she was never in line, well, She and Harry would have to walk past 6 or 7 coffins to wear "The Crowns" However she and Harry removed themselves from the line of succession no matter how low in precedence they were. Not everybody dreams of being some stuffy Royal forced to wear weird ass hats and eat crazy shit like Scotch Eggs 🤢 curtsy and bow to the Her Royal Highness The Crypt Keeper😆 The English Tabloids and Papers have spun it that way thanks to 'The Firm' That Meghan Markle was a terrible, horrible person.
