I mean seriously, who thought a 19 years old girl and a 30 old prince were going to be a good match?!! That marriage was doomed before it began.. they were just so different Edit: I have nothing against both a them. I do believe that both Charles and Diana knew this marriage was a mistake, they tried for a brief time to make it work but in vain. I get the times were different but still she was still young and naive at 19 or maybe way too dreamy, and he was somewhat experienced prince meaning he had all his life knowing what is expected of him. They had completely different personalities .. so yes the age gap isn't the only problem but it for sure had its effect. ( And yes him being in love surely didn't help but I do believe he tried. It was just a disastrous marriage)

But on the other hand, Anne's second marriage already lasts longer than Edward's and seems very successful. And Charles's second marriage looks much better than his first, and lasts longer than this, too. Edward was in no hurry to get married, but he chose as his wife the woman he really loved. Anne and Charles also married for love the second time around, and it made their relationship much more consistent and lasting now than it was the first time. And Andrew is Andrew and his approach to relationships is very specific.

The press called her a “commoner” and made it seem like she was Cinderella lifted up by her Prince Charming. She also was very glamorous and beautiful, but not so unattainably beautiful that women couldn’t imagine themselves as her. She seemed to care about charities and ordinary people in a way that wealthy, glamorous people aren’t usually seen to be doing (especially not royals). I think even her not being especially intelligent worked in her favor because, again, ordinary women could more easily daydream about being her. In the 80s and much of the 90s Diana could do no wrong. Everyone wanted her hairstyle, the clothes she wore (or cheap knockoffs), they loved the charities she championed. Diana Barbie dolls came out most years. Putting her on the news was guaranteed to get ratings and putting her face on a magazine was guaranteed to sell. What was it about Camilla being a potential Queen Consort at that time, that the Firm didn't approve of them being together? @@sherryduggar8821 Let's get something straight! Diana DIDN'T go into the marriage with a lover! For the first 5-10 years of her marriage, Diana didn't cheat! When Diana saw that her husband wasn't going to give up his mistress, then she cheated on him! The fact remains that Diana remained a faithful wife for many years. That said, it doesn't matter if Diana had one lover or 100! She didn't break her wedding vows first! Charles did that! Diana wasn't a saint, but she was a PUBLICLY scorned woman by Charles. That you have a double standard is unbelievable! The reason people are upset with Charles is that he took advantage of his child bride and expected Diana to be loyal to him when he showed her no loyalty! That people say Harry's not Charles's son by using the fact that Diana found some comfort in James Hewitt two years AFTER Harry's birth is just mind blowing! Diana was the MOST spied upon person in the Palace while Charles's friends and employees helped him set up one meeting after another with Camilla under the very eyes of his wife! Charles's whole household was loyal to him and his needs NOT Diana! Sarah Ferguson got the same treatment! It's now coming out that Andrew was hooking up back in the early 90s during his Navy days! That people can't put two and two together is astounding! Sarah was ripped by the press for topless bathing (Kate was caught too) and getting her feet kissed while everyone kept quiet about Andrew sleeping with minors! Just wow on so many levels that you want to call Diana a fallen woman! She was innocent when Charles married her, but she grew up quick and learnt how to play the game from the vipers around her!

Three of Prince Philip's German relatives attended his funeral, and they have all been seen with the Royal Family. None are "first" cousins -- as someone else commented, those cousins were older than Philip and are long gone and have few descendants. But the 3 family members who were at Prince Philip's funeral are probably the closest relatives to Charles III from that side of the family (although there's no telling how close). They are: 1- Prince Bernhard, Prince Philip's great-nephew (grandson of Princess Theodora). Prince Bernhard is the hereditary prince of Baden and manages the family estates and wineries in Germany. 2- Donatus, Landgrave of Hesse, is a cousin of Philip's through his mother, and Philip's sisters both married into the Hesse family, so they are also related by marriage. Donatus works to preserve the House of Hesse (forests, agricultural estates, castles, hotels, art collection and foundation). 3- Prince Philipp, prince of Hohenlohe-Langenburg, is Prince Philip (UK)'s great-nephew (grandson of Princess Margarita). Like the others on the list, he manages his family's estates, forests, etc. He is said to have been close to Prince Philip (UK), and Charles is definitely aware of him, because their charities work together on sustainability -- Philipp is another royal environmentalist and they have worked together on European measures.

Something about the Princess Anne story seems odd to me. He shot up the car, including the side windows, he shot 3 people whilst screaming he was going to kidnap the Princess for £3,000,000 & she said no & locked the door until police arrived. The window is clearly blown away, did he just say OK & quit? The bodyguard was dead, locking the door would have slowed him down but not stopped him if he was serious. It just strikes me as a bit odd.

It's not told entirely correctly here, she was not able to immediately lock him out. She talked to him for a while, as he was threatening her with his gun and she said she wouldn't come. She then tried to get out of the other side of the car, so he ran to that side, but her husband pulled her back in and they locked the doors. So they tricked him basically. Other people came to help then and they managed to restrain the kidnapper. This was on The Mall, where there is always people around... The bodyguard was not dead but injured, by the way.

I know that during Elizabeth I’s first 10 years as Queen, she went through something like 7 Prime Ministers before that decade was up. I’d love to know more about those first 7- let alone each PM who served during her 70 years on the throne. And wow… *70 YEARS is just wild. 🤯* We can all say what we want about the Royal Family- and we’re probably right- but 70 years as a world leader is one hell of an accomplishment no matter how you flip it. Can’t take *that* away from Her Majesty. 🤷🏽‍♂️🙆🏽‍♂️

At issue is why is Sarah so much indebt when Charles and Anne aren't? Both Charles and Anne inherited a LOT of money when their great-grandmother Mary of Tech and grandfather George VI died while Edward and Andrew weren't born yet. Then Charles has the Dutchy of Cornwall which brings in £20-30 million a year. Anne was involved in raising and training horses and had the income of her first husband. The huge age differences of the Queen's children meant the younger ones Andrew and Edward got less. When Sarah and Andrew married, the Queen gifted them a house with land which didn't really provide the couple with income. Therefore, Sarah had to basically live on Andrew's income as an navy pilot with a stipend from the Civil List. At that time, Sarah was doing just as manyappearances as Diana and had to dress well despite not having the income. Edward who was just a child or teen when his older siblings married, also ran into financial trouble when his wife Sophia had to give up her PR firm and he was forced to close his production company due to conflict of interest. The Wessexes simply knockled down and lived very frugally while the Yorks who had more responsibilities were never able to get off the treadmill of debt! Meanwhile, Anne was able to get several high paying positions on various boards AND was also allowed to represent several high end companies like Land Rover and Rolex which daughter Zara also later got sponsorship from. Therefore, to blame Sarah for her poor spending habits is not fair. Instead of helping his brother with his work and charities, Andrew spent 20 years in the Navy which forced Sarah to look after both her husband's and her duties back in the 80s and 90s. That the Queen didn't think of a fairer way of compensation for her children is scandalous! Despite Charles looking after his inheritance and building up his businesses, his income is 20 times that of his three young siblings! That Harry has walked away from this business model that doesn't compensate his wife and him properly is understandable. The entire business plan reaks of financial inequalities among the various family members not to mention the racism that Meghan experienced and the fat shaming and breeches of privacy that Sarah experienced.

@@fredrika27 Charles always had a lot more money through the Duchy of Cornwall, that is certainly true. But the main difference between Anne and Edward always getting by and Andrew & Sarah not so much is that they are a lot more frugal and smarter in terms of money management. Anne never depended on her first husband's income by the way, she always had a lot more money than he did. And she is known to be very frugal. She wears her clothes literally forever, she still wears outfits that she bought decades ago. There is an article, if you look for it I'm sure how you can find it, about how when she booked a hotel for her private holiday with her husband, they immediately wanted to give her their biggest & most luxurious suite because of being a royal & the Queen's daughter and she said no, thanks, she'll take a regular room. She has this manor & estate that she was gifted by the Queen and she has said: the estate (it includes a farm, horses etc and they have riding events there as well) must support itself, otherwise I can't continue to live here. Sorry but that's just a completely different attitude than Andrew & Sarah. The fat shaming of Sarah was done by the press, not the family. She is not the only family member who is not super thin, I don't think they care about that.

And as a Christian, adultery is a wicked sin and I think we can all agree a terrible thing to commit. Camilla and Charles should have remained faithful to their spouses, or Charles shouldn't have been coward in the first place. After the divorce, he married another woman and had a child with her, as is mentioned in the video as well. Then he cheated on her and left her for the other woman mentioned in the video. What is not mentioned is that by now he has left her for a woman his daughter's age! I've commented on French and Korean pronunciation before...it doesn't seem like much research goes into pronunciation of words...

Copied partially from a comment: I’d not be surprised at all if Camilla is a great great granddaughter of Queen Victoria after all tbh. King Charles and Camilla being second cousins would not surprise me in the slightest. The press and the Diana cult would have a field day though with that; just imagine Charles falling deeply & very much in love unknowingly with his cousin, eventually leaving Diana for his cousin and marrying her in 2005 9 years after his divorce to Diana and 8 years after Diana’s death. I mean Diana is his cousin too but it’s really a distant relation compared to what would be if Edward VII fathered Camilla’s grandmother Sonia. Perhaps that was another reason why the royal family didn’t give Charles and Camilla permission to marry during their child bearing years and if Simon Dorante-Day is proved to be KC&QC’s son one of the reasons why he was given up for adoption, besides Charles age at the conception being 16 years old and the details hidden from the world.

She wasn't a racist unlike the family she married into. Another example if her being a better person than them.
