[2021-05-30] A full hotel tour of the Quality Inn in Kanab, Utah. This hotel is fairly basic, even though it has 3 floors it only has stairs - no elevator. Note that this is not a Quality "Inn & Suites", it is just a regular inn without any suites.
For Memorial Day weekend 2021, I paid around $200/night and it was one of the only options in Kanab when I booked 2 weeks in advance. It was not a great value for the price if you ignore the holiday weekend demand. The room was fairly basic and in only fair condition. The shower/tub needed to be repaired (it was chipped); the beds and carpet were near the end of their useful life. Breakfast was limited and was mostly pre-packaged to-go bags.
Kanab is a very popular destination as it is close to the Grand Canyon North Rim (closer than the only other major town of Page, AZ), many slot canyons, Zion National Park, and the famous "Wave" sandstone formation which you need to get a permit months in advance for.
** A side note, this hotel is adjacent to the BLM office where they raffle off standby permits weekdays at 9 AM to hike "The Wave."
