[2021-02-12] A full hotel tour of a 1 king bed suite with a full kitchen at the Homewood Suites Albuquerque, NM airport location. Includes a full tour of the room, the courtyard, and the ground floor public areas (lobby).
This room comes equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, with everything except for a traditional oven. There is also a separate living area and bedroom area, divided by a folding door. There are TVs in each area of the room. The bedroom area doesn't have as much wall insulation as would be ideal, because I could hear the family next door sometimes - especially when the kids were moving around the room or the bed. The vanity/sink and shower, tub, and toilet area are separated, although there isn't a door between the vanity area and the bedroom. That could be an issue if someone needs to turn on the light near the vanity and someone else is sleeping.
On the ground floor, there are several amenities. Outside, there is a courtyard with a pool, 2 barbeque grills, an outdoor seating area, and a multi-purpose sport court (half a basketball court). The pool was closed for the season when I visited though.
Inside, the lobby is pretty spacious and has a lot of indoor seating for the daily breakfast service. I'm not sure if by now they've gone back to full service, when I was there they just had grab and go service and you had to eat outside or in your room. There is a little convenience store shop near the front desk and because of that, there are no vending machines on the property. There is a business center with 2 computers and a laser printer, complimentary access to the computer for guests. They have a few conference rooms that weren't being used when I was there.
There's also many guest laundry rooms throughout the property since this is an extended stay hotel as well as one fitness center. When I was there, use of the fitness center was by appointment only.
Overall, this hotel room was a good deal (around $90/night) for what it offered, especially the size of the room.
