What’s the difference between gouache and watercolour? I’m learning them and it’s actually quite interesting. A lot of it comes down to how these paints are made and it gives gouache some unique qualities.
I absolutely adore how these paints work on paper and I can’t wait to keep playing with them.
I have one more video planned for this and it will be my final review of this particular set of artist loft gouache.

I purchased a set of these and i'm looking forward to trying them. I have recently started to learn with water colouring. Though in school I did like acrylics.

Have fun playing with them! I learnt in watercolour and I find gouache perfect to use watercolour techniques with but it really has that diversity to it where the thicker you go the more it acts like oil or acrylic. It’s Just really enjoyable.
I LOVE gouache as in its own, but i also think watercolour and gouache are a match made in heaven. btw, for this piece are you using fabriano studio paper? i dont like that paper much for watercolour, but what do you think for gouache?

I’m not actually sure the name of this paper, it is fabriano and it’s student grade and is supposed to be something like 20% cotton (I got it bulk from Jackson’s and I can’t remember the details). I’ve used 100+ sheets of it for watercolour (and your right it has a lot of draw backs but I couldn’t say no to the price) for the gouache I don’t mind it, I feel like the gouache is very forgiving on this paper compared to watercolour. The texture of this paper leaves something to be desired in any medium lol.

@@JNDS.Creates yeah it's that one, and I also got the 75 sheets pack! I think I'll use for gouache but also for dry media such as oil/chalk pastels and pencils!
